Do you keep a pocket planner or do you just use your phone organizer? :)

Hello everyone :D
I know it's too late to ask this question as February is fast approaching.. but I just wanna ask, how many of the mylotters use a pocket planner??
Well I do.. :D I started in 2008 and at the end of the year it feels great to see your accomplishments for the whole year.. in 2009 when I became least active, I just fill the spaces with Bible verses to keep me going..
I already bought a red pocket planner for 2010, and hopefully, may God fill it with a lot of activities for me to keep busy..
I prefer keeping a pocket planner because I just find it personal and convenient for me.. :D
-----
So anyway, who among you uses a pocket planner?? or do you prefer a phone organizer instead?? or a PDA?? what are your gadgets/ materials to organize or plan your meetings/ appointments or trips??

When I was in college, I used pocket planner so I won't forget the deadlines of projects, assignments, and other academic requirements. It's really helpful because you can easily see the activities you have day by day. I remembered that during so-called 'hell weeks', the planner was so full of deadlines, exams! That's was so argh! hahaha
But now, I'm using my phone as organizer. hehehe

Hello cecillecarmela
I use a calendar. I do not day planner or phone organizer. I never felt the need even with two teenage daughters and there activities and work schedules.
I do not go on trips for work.
Have a great day
Sincerely Unique16

I keep a date book, it is great for me because it gives me plenty of room to write my tasks for the day and cross them off when they are completed. I use my phone sometimes, but for me, writing is easier and my thoughts can get out faster that way.

One great things that we have in our present mobile phone model today is that we can install a lots of useful application on it. And with regards to your question, i use my mobile phone as my organizer. My phone model works as a cellphone and a personal data assistant in one. See its so practical and handy because i will not able to carry 2 gadgets anymore.

Nowadays, I just use either my mobile phone, iPod Touch or my own brain as a pocket planner. They do the job absolutely perfectly and saves me carrying about a separate pocket planner

To be honest, I don't use either one! I just make notes in a little notebook pad that I carry around in my purse. I have owned pocket planners and so on, but I still find myself going back to the little notepad. What I am bad about though is, if I need to jot down something real quick, I will write in down on whatever is available to me at the moment and tend to forget to put it in my notepad. Lol!

Hahahaha :D well I guess a notepad also works for me, but I prefer a sketch pad more.. :D I just hate those lines which for me seems too organized.. at least with sketch pad, I can write more freely, without caring what direction would it be.. :D
thanks for participating tinalb :D nice to know your comments. and God bless :)

I use a calender - you know the kind that you tape to the fridge or nail to the wall.....Yep.... works great. However last year, I did buy one that was book-style so that I could keep it better at my desk and keep things in it for future reference. But, none of those hand held trinkets and gadgets... sometimes the old fashioned way is so good...why mess with a good thing! I have all I need right there. I color (highlighter) appointments and things.. pink is for my grand daughter issues, green is doctor appts, blue is "other" appts or phone follow ups. Quick and easy and oh, so perfectly on time for everything!!! And all it cost me was a buck at the Dollar Store and some missing highlighters that I probably would have tossed when I found them as I had no use for them... at that time.

I'm telling you --- it is a great system. QUick look at a glance of what I have to do when. No... "do I need to get dressed this way or that for this or that appt"... I see green I know how to dress, how long I will be gone and what I need to take with me. I see pink, I know it is a grand daughter day and can adjust accordingly.
Plus, anytime I have to back track and see when I did what last (like look for a previous doctors appt) I just have to find the color - when did I last see this doctor? I turn pages, focus ONLY on the green and find the one I want! If I have an appt in blue, for instance replacing my windshield on my car last month, and there is a problem with it... I back track, look for blue and have all the info right there in front of my to tell the auto place to fix the problem.
I do also write in the phone number of the appt so i have it all right there at hand and don't have to pull my address book for the numbers. Saves so much time! I had to go back and list all doctors I saw and when last year... took me about 5 minutes to go through 12 months!
WOrks like a charm!

Hi Cecillecarmela, when i first time started to have planner, i use pocket planner because i need to jot down all my daily activities like, my work, appointments and even other miscellaneous matters which seems important for me. Since, i had bought a good quality hand-phone, so i prefer to use my phone organizer more than my pocket planner. Because it's easier for me to set the alarm for my important appointments, so i won't missed it when the day had come. So, can say, my phone organizer is much better than my pocket planner, since i can even use it as for communication purpose as well.

I go for any planner instead of the phone organizer so I can doodle more stuff than usual. I was not able to buy one yet but hopefully I get to buy one soon since I have so many in depth thoughts about what is happening to my life. This is the worst year for me and hopefully I get thru it without any tears coming out from my eyes.

I have an organizer in the office, cause I have to keep track of all the things I have done for the day for charging and other stuff. I also like to use it to keep tract of my due payments and other occasions. I also have a calendar in my netbook, I put there all my trips, other important events and some schedule of the tv shows that I don't want to miss. hehehe.

Hi cecillecarmela!
I only started using planners around the second half of 2008. I was part of the college council (school year 2008-2009 and also the last year in college!), and it was important to keep track of important dates. It was fun having to fill in the dates with activities. Whenever the council had a successful activity, we would go out and celebrate. I can't help but smile whenever I take a look at what happened back then, it makes me feel fulfilled
And now, I have a new planner, and it's red too! My phones have planners too, but I find it too tedious to fill in the dates. I'd rather write them down. I think it helps with my memory too! Hahaha
I'm praying that God will continue to shower me with lots of blessings and activities. I pray that He will shower you with more blessings!
Cheers! Happy MyLotting!

Im using both pocket planner and Iphone ... I use pocket planner for my personals and a Iphone for my job.I easy to carry and convenient to use there's no need to carry a calculator along with you and keep it simple easy and it can connect me to internet to wherever I am. There's a lot of features i find Iphone is reliable for my job.

I just use my phone for that. Its a handy little tool so why shouldn't I, right?
I cat say that I would plan so much.. I just use my phone kinda like a reminder.. so that I don't forget to do something important or not so important..
But there have been times when I check a message but have no idea what I meant with it.. its kinda funny how I try to remind me of something but can't figure out what the message could mean or stand for.. hehe

I think it's a nice idea to use pocket planner, like you mentioned, it's good to see what you have been up to in the past. However, I don't use one. It's just handier for me to use my phone organizer, because I don't have to carry an extra item with me then, my phone is always with me.

i dont use a pocket planner..... i rather use my phone organiser.... as i dont need to carry anything extra for using that... my phone is something that i always carry with my self.... so it becomes easy for me to keep track of all my activities on that.... using a pocket planner would be difficult... as i tend to misplace such things.... but since my phone has a so many uses, i take extra care...:)

Hi cecillecarmela.
I really don't use the two. I just prefer writing it on a notebook the things I have to do or write it in a calendar. It's because it's convenient and sometimes I really don't like planning because I can't really accomplished it at times. I go with my mood and what I like to do for that day without forgetting what I need to do.
But I would like to try it so that I can feel the accomplishment that you had felt looking at your pocket planner.
