The Pope commands the Church to become internet savvy

Just saw it on the news... made me laugh, but also made me think about how religious practice, theology, and spiritualism can be adapted to the modern world's infrastructure of global communication. I wonder if the Pope is on mylot lol I see it as no different than a spiritual leader, or appointed person in any religious sect writing books or keeping a journal. Rather than speaking at the pulpit, they can edict with keystrokes to millions at a time. Good, bad, or ugly? grr... I saw that on a TV news show. Like you, it made me laugh a little, but on thinking it over, why not? Where does it say that religious leaders are not in tune with technology? I hope a lot of others do the same thing!
