I work with as a youth and schools worker and would like to know if what people's favourite songs are - old or new. I will use this information to get some tracks that people are interested in so that we can appeal to students in the school.

I like anything that is nice, especially songs that has nice and smooth music or those that has strong beat rhythm. A meaningful lyrics will make me like a song as well. Favourite artists includes The Beetles, Elvis Presley, Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Michael Jackson etc. So I would say more towards old song, ie 60s-90s.

My favorite rock song is "Soul To Squeeze" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from the Coneheads movie soundtrack, my favorite R&B song is "King of Sorrow" by Sade, but my favorite hip-hop song is "4th Chamber" by GZA/Genius off of the Liquid Swords album featuring Ghostface Killah, Killah Priest and RZA. I have wayyyyy too many favorite songs to really get going with this though. Don't think my stuff would appeal to too many students though... Maybe try some good old stuff like Purple Haze, Lowrider, Cisco Kid, Papa Was a Rolling Stone, Working Class Hero, Rocky Raccoon, etc.
