What is the best free antivirus? What is the best paid antivirus? I have Antivira as free antivirus, it works well but sometime they send me an ad on my computer and it makes me a little angry

Hello sushie93. I can tell you Norton is a nightmare. I have had nothing but problems with it. In my experience, everytime I have installed it, I have gotten a virus while it is installing because it shuts off your firewall and then goes online to update itself. It ruined one of my computers doing that, so I asked around and everyone I talked to swore on AVG, so I have had it ever since. Some say it is a free program that can be gotten online, however, I had it installed and it cost me the same as Norton, but I got a 2 year subscription. I like it a lot, but you can ask around and see what others think. As for me, I will never us anything ever again and definetly will never use Norton. My brother who works with computers likes it too. At the very least it is worth looking in to. Good Luck.

I have tried a bunch of free antivirus before. But the Avira free antivirus is the one that i like most. It doesn't slowdown my system. And the database updating is so fast. And it really clean my system. And about the paid antivirus, i have never purchase one even before. But i read from some of the discussion here in mylot that Norton is the best.

I knew antivira before. Was that the one with a red umbrella? It was quite effective with detecting viruses but I hate to see red colors and that could be why I did not choose it. Right now I have avast! I just love to see its gray and blue colors. So soothing to senses
