Hockey Is

Power..followed quickly by skill and beautiful and precision. Figure skaters have nothing over hockey players as far as I am concerned. Watching the skill that someone like pav uses when he takes the puck away from someone. Lids shot..almost always from the blue line.. A fight is a treat and if you are a true hockey fan you understand the importance it can have to a game. I don't think of it as a violent sport..an agressive sport..violence to me means hurtng someone without provacation or reason. Running into someone so they lose the puck..no different than sacking a quarterback and hoping he would fumble the ball.

Hi Sarah! I love Hockey i.e. field Hockey. In the past Indian Hockey team was one of the best in the world. I can understand that you may be talking about ice-hockey, which we do not get to see here in India. I think that pattern of playing Hockey in both the version is similar. It is an exciting game and you get to know the result within 70 minutes. However, now a days, 'Cricket' has taken over the game of Hockey in India. Good Morning! Deepak

Hockey is... Life. Plain and simple. It's what I eat, sleep, breathe, love, cherish. It's where I work, it's where I get my daily thrills. It's where the excitement lies, it's where they adventure happens. Hockey = my life.

For me, it's FUN. As I don't play the sport, and I don't even skate, my word is from the feeling I derive from watching it(specially if my canucks are winning). I don't know how these players survive from minor hockey to the pro ranks, skating at high speeds, with a stick in hand, trying to get to a puck which can most certainly do some damage if they get hit by it. And yes, not to mention the five other guys with sticks also skating at high speeds trying to pry the puck out of each other. Overall, it's fun to watch.

First word that come to my mind when I hear the word hockey is my son's name, Adam. I love hockey because it is fast. I cannot stand slow sports. Hockey is like my brain, going FAST!!!! I love it!!
