I would like to know how to get rid of ticks on your pet and what to do to pervent them from having them get on them in the first place.

That is also my problem with my 2 dogs they're both shih tzus. First, you need to bathe them regularly cause cleanliness can really stop the ticks to reproduce. I usually bathe them evry after 2 days. And I use tick and flea shompoo from ostech.. that's a good shampoo for dogs and ryt after, i put bearing powder so they will smell good.

I am finding that citranella oil is the natural way to get rid of them. Use them in a tick bath. Also can use a few drops of rose geranium oil to the dog's collar. Don't, however, use this for cats as their physiology is different. Citranella is used in candles and all sorts of things to keep miscitos away.

I used to use Frontline but it was very expensive. Now there are other products. I fact, it´s the same thing with another name and a lesser price. If you put it before the dog gets ticks or flies you won´t have any problem.

Hi grandma
In the past I had used this stuff called skin so soft. It will keep the ticks and fleas off. I used the spray one and it really works. If you need little more information let me know and I will glad to help.
Keep smiling.
