It was very interesting to me when I read during my Bible reading today. Hornets? What are they? Joshua 24:12

A hornet is a wasp, or something like a bee. It's a flying insect that stings. It tends to swarm and in this instance, it probably swarmed the Amorites like a plague.
However, some think that "I sent the hornet before you" is a way of saying that God sent a terror to spread before them.
Is that what you were asking?
