My wolf-hybrid loves to listen to music, whenever I have to leave her alone for a few hours. Thing is though, she doesn't like rock and roll, or rap, or even country. She prefers listening to RnB music.
How do I know this? On a particular day, I took her to my mother's house (before I moved in), and my mom told me she wouldn't settle down with any other music until she put the station to RnB hits.
It was rather comical.

Dogs like music in my opinion no matter what kind it is,because they have probably not heard that sound before.

yes, I've read that dogs and cats can benefit from listening to music. In fact, it was recommended to play classical music as it's the most calming for a pet if your pet has separation anxiety and gets into things while you're gone from home. I used to have a dog that was very fearful in thunder storms, and I would leave music playing for her if we were going to have storms while I was away. I think it helped her by drowning out some of the noise.
