Well, I posted the cat discussion in dogs and the dog discussion in cats, confusion reins in my life!!! LOL. Why do you own a dog, what kind is it? I've got 3 dogs, two mini Dachshunds and a pit/lab mix. I've got them as a warning system and for companionship. The three of them can hear a bird fart a mile away! So they warn me when someone is in the yard and they also chase the deer out of my yard so they protect my various plants (including my roses!). Hopefully I'll get my brain straightened out soon...I don't usually make these kind of mistakes, but at least I see the enormous humor in making them.

We own three dogs. 1 German shepherd and 2 Japanese Spitz. We have three of them because my father likes it and they we like to play with them. We can also use them as a guard to our house when we are away or warn us if someone comes around the corner of our house. They protect us by barking and making some noise to get all of our attention.

I had always wanted a dog, so we brought a family pet... i would have got a big dog but my mother prefers smaller dogs as they're 'easier to handle'... basically it doesn't take too much time exercising in the evening. So we got a Jack Russell, he's a brat but i love him to bits!... And yeah.. he RUINS our plants compared to protecting them. :P

I just love dogs, and have had at least 1 in my life from as early as I can remember. But a bonus is their unconditional love and devotion and the company they provide. They will love you no matter what. You never have to come home to an empty house when you have that furry tail wagging at the door so glad to see you. A side bonus - if you let them sleep in your bed, they're better than an electric blanket on a cold night - they really throw off the heat.

Hi Loverbear. I do have two dogs, both German Shepherds and I absolutely love them. One is going to be twelve next month, the other is two years old. The older one is deaf now and has hip problems, but with a routine of medications given daily she runs with the younger one every day. I have them mainly for companionship, but they are great watchdogs and are always outside with the kids. They sleep inside and are part of the family. I never answer the door without them by my side...you can never be too careful. They are both trained with hand signals and will give a great show of force if needed. Extremely smart and loyal, almost too smart. They have successfully trained me to give them a "cookie" everytime they come in the house. P.S. I love your comment that confusion reigns your life. You're not alone!!

I have always had a dog, probably since I was 2. So naturally I have always been a huge dog lover. I only own 1 dog right now and he has been the best dog I've had. He is mixed, chihuahua and pomeranian. I've had him for 3 years.
