Do you like fixed marriage or choose someone to marry?

I don't really understand why most mom choose like fix marriage or decided whom their son or daughter whom to get married.

I don't like fixed marriage.. cause in fixed marriage.. there's a possibility that you don't love your partner.. and for me.. most fixed marriage are not successful.. I think iy's much better if we are the one who will choose the person whom we want to spend our lifetime with so that we won't end up with a regret.. at least I'm glad.. fixed marriage is not popular here in Philippines but there are some country that really practices fixed marriage..

yeah I absolutely agreed with you, filipinos has the freedom to choose whom they love and who they want to get married. But there are some who still like fixed marriage especially those who have chinese tradition. Thanks for your opinion canielynne..:) I am also from philippines.

I am glad to say that my father is giving me the freedom to choose someone I would like to spend my whole life with. He is not that strict unlike other parents. He understands that as an individual, I do have the right to choose my lifetime partner. Fixed marriage is something I wouldn't want to happen to me because I don't want to tie myself forever to someone which I don't love.
