When I'm stress/depressed, playing a musical instrument is one of my ways to unwind. I know how to play the guitar but i'm not really good. I want to learn violin, however i don't have time to attend a violin lesson due to my hectic schedule.
How about yours?:)

Same here I love the voice of violin but due to schedule never got the chance to attend any class and learn how to play it.

Well, I tried my luck with a electric guitar. I kinda managed to learn the very, very very basics.. but I only managed to "play" it for a few months until my first exams arrived..
After that I had basically lost all interesting in trying it again.. its not like I wouldn't like it but I'm kinda of a lazy guy so picking up my guitar and practicing is.. well, pretty hard for me.. :/
But I do want to get back to it someday.. most probably after I'm done with school and have established myself in my new life.

I play the guitar and the piano.. well the keyboard. You might see if Mel Bay or another company has an adult learner book on the violin. It might be possible to teach yourself. Or there may be dvds available too...

wow! good! i also want to learn piano but i can't afford to buy a real piano. you know i think it's necessary to have one especially when studying it to be able to practice what you've learned. for now, i just like to learn violin. my sister have a violin at home but we do not know how to play it! haha. thanks for the suggestions, anyway.

I play the guitar and it makes me feel great.I initially learned to play guitar to keep myself from getting idle. Now I'm addicted to it.I call my guitar "Natasha" and I play her for 5 to 6 hours a day.

I don't play any musical instruments right now. I do want to learn how to play the electric guitar though or the drums. I just think that it would be a very fun experience for me to try something that would be new to me. Also a flute will I did know how to play one back when I was in eight grade, but that was some time ago and I can't remember how to play it anymore. I wish I wouldn't have forgotten that way I could relax myself with the sound of the flute.

you can still re-learn it. maybe you will recall them when you'll be practicing regularly. in that way, all the thing you learned and you will learn will be refreshed since you keep on playing them. practice is always the best in playing musical instruments.
