I think you can if you eat correctly. I have also learned recently that women crave salt, carbs and sweets more than men because they are low in serotonin. Some things that can help curb those cravings in women are to up turkey and other foods that have serotonin and green tea. After talking to a woman about this she said that she has been drinking greet tea for about a year and noticed that she hasn't had a carb or sweet craving for about 5 months now! She didn't know why as she used to have wild cravings weekly!
There is something to say about will power too! Mind over craving. AND... let's not forget that cravings are OK!! Every once in a while a Twinkie is not going to kill you. When cravings become bad habits, then we need to call them that and work on changing them out of our lives.
I'm working on losing 25 myslef this year and journaling about it her on MyLot. I'm getting TONs of great advice from caring people that have done this before me.
I'm wishing you well! Here's to a prosperous 2010!

Good for you! I tried the raw food/detoxing with my girlfriend last year, but after 3 days of no energy and the worst headaches ever we gave up. I've been wanting to try with her again, but now that she's working more I don't think she will.
As to your question, I don't think your food cravings will ever truely go away. Maybe over a looong time, but not anytime soon. Unless you can convince your(inner)self how much better the new diet tastes.

very much so! It's TOO hard for me to diet like that, I love my foods so much! What I had to do was portion control and calorie count. That's when I lost the weight!
