Love it or hate it, Valentine's Day rolls around every year like a ginormous pink steam roller, smushing everything in its path with consumer hearts and doilies. Well, the scret to not being alone on Valentine's Day is planning in advance. Whether you're together with friends, family or ideally~ a great date, here are some ways you can make it happen:
1. Join an online dating network.
2. Volunteer~ Start volunteering from now for an organization you truly care about.
3. Go to a party.
4. Throw a party.
5. Make a back-up plan.
Let's face it~ realistically speaking, you may not get to spend Valentine's Day with the princess/ or prince of your dreams. So be sure to set something up in advance with friends or family.

If you are a single woman or man, get yourself pampered; go out to Starbucks, ignore the lovers in the place and have you a date with yourself; buy yourself some flowers and liven up your home or office space. Affirm to yourself that although you are alone, you are also go enough too.

I like your suggestions, after all,the best relationship you are ever going to have is with yourself! It is a positive way of looking at Valentine's Day when you are on your own, spend the day celebrating yourself!

I’ve been married for a long time and Valentine’s Day is not that much of a big deal for us although our wedding anniversary is February 10 and we definitely acknowledge that so it is our Valentine’s Day. We usually don’t do anything special but we do take the time to be by ourselves and appreciate each other for a while until life returns back to normal!
Your advice is very handy for single people; I wish I had come across it back in the old days!

Hi Great,
Since Valentines Day falls on a Sunday—it will a celebration with the family. Maybe after we heard mass we can take our kids for lunch. I don’t know if my husband a different plan or has a surprise for me (hehehe…hoping and wishing….) and will be him and me only. We’re done with our kids date.
You suggestions are very practical. People will surely enjoy these activities and not be alone or feel blue on valentines day instead there’s something that made it extra special. Good luck and advance happy hearts day!

Oh well that is nice! I am now twenty one and turning twenty two this year but haven't really experienced dating someone on valentine's day. But that doesn't really mean that I can't enjoy it anymore. I have good friends who share this special day with me. And whenever this day comes, me and my siblings always prepare something special for our parents.
