And what do you do if you don't have winter?
I am asking because I find myself eating and being very sedentary during the winter. I hate the cold and it hates me. What do you do to keep from going stir crazy?

I'm from a tropical country and so during the winter the temperature is very low.It makes it very suitable to play cricket.I play a lot of outdoor games because the climate is moderate and not like the hot summers we face here.

Congrats on finding someone who hates the cold just like you. I keep myself busy all year round so I'm constantly moving about. I have many interests and hobbies so that sometimes keeps my mind off of eating and keeping still. I also find that chewing gum helps confuse the mind into thinking that your chewing. I find myself wanting to snack just to give my mouth something to do. If it's occupied I tend to get back to my day as well as interests. As for being sedentary I also like curling up on the couch and maybe watching a movie or reading a book. Whether you do the same or not, that comfort of soft and warm during the winter is hard to want to pull yourself away from. I go to yoga a few times a week. It may be hard to go at first but I find yoga to be more relaxing than demanding depending on the level. Sometimes its just as relaxing as sitting on the couch or laying in bed. So you still get that relaxed feeling but afterwards you feel better as well.

I have been on the internet a lot this winter but I face the same issue as you.
I have found crocheting to be a very good activity to keep busy in winter but it is a very sedentary activity. After all, you can't take a ball of yarn running or bike riding.
