I think they need to put more developing into soccer at grassroots, but the problem is with such a huge gap in the poverty in the country how can you put money towards soccer it would not be such a good idea. I think the country needs to approach fifa for the neccesary funding, get un corruptable officials and get sponsors to fund projects like this. They could make it if people get behind it as it would give the kids that are impoverished a chance to believe in something that could lift the poor out of the situation they in. It is possible.

Soccer is familiar to India for a long time.As i recall India did quality for a wold cup lots of years back but they opted out since they played barefoot.In any case India is ranked some 140s or something.I personally dont think the Indian team has a chance to enter the world cup stage in a future decade.but the Indian coach claim,s they would have a chance by 5-6 years.I dont know how they can though.Really skeptical about it.
