This is how we start a online chat with a unknown online friend.
When I was new to internet I used to chat whenever I got time.(that time I had no idea about making money online, I was using only yahoo mails)
One day I said I am 47, male, India to a Philippines chat. She (obviously no he)
asked me "married"-I said " yes".
She instantly said, " Glad to see at least you are married- all the people here say single".
May be the response is better if we lie online...
BTW what is your asl?
Mine is (REAL MINE) 53, male, Chennai, India.. of course married (once only)

Ahahahahahaaha....so you are into online chatting.
Ohhh,most of my friends,esp Indian friends,i've met them thru ORKUT site.
One of my internet friend(a filipina)asked em to join Orkut,and there i met few nice indian people.
Actually,the first Indian friend i've met is Shashi,and we've talking here(chatting online)for more than 4 years now.
Well,i never hide my identity...my opinion is...what the need of hiding myself?
It is easier to tell the truth than telling a lie.
Besides,they are not asking for my bank account or address...just my name,gender and status..if asking place,they are just referring to what country you came from,and no need to tell your whole address.(unless someone wants to visits me in person nyahahaha
)
Oh..well...do i need to tell you my dear bhai?
Our mom will knock your head when she comes to know you don't know how old i am and how many times i've been married (wahahahahahahaha
)

I used to give my real information mostly when I was chatting a few years ago.

Yes I was chatting those days, it was fun. Actually I don't know typing. I used to search for each key and type very slowly.
Then chatting helped me to improve my typing speed. It was great fun too..
A secret-don't tell any one. A Cebu lady used to chat with me that time almost daily. It went on for about 2 weeks and she finally understood that I was useless.I want to thank her as she helped me to improve my typing speed.

Yes, amyson, being a lady you should be careful not to give away the personal details until you are sure the person is reliable and trust worthy. So sad you are also unlucky like me

I was not knowing this asl....when i read your discussion..i read it carefully and then came to know that what it means....i am very backward to you in this case i think ......i used to chat and also chat at present..but with very few selected people who joined me with online earning interests mostly and i have found some to be very good friends...but i know very few short cuts...
