Isn't it great that we get to connect with people we normally wouldn't?

I was just looking around some profile information of the folks that post on my discussions and it just hit me again that it's quite wonderful how we get to make friends and chat with people that we normally wouldn't get to meet in our usual daily life.
Especially those grandmas and grandpas. It's nice to chat with Hatley and Grandpa Bob (webishere).... and I wouldn't have known Hatley was 83 if I didn't see her profile details!
Guess I just miss my grandparents cos they are all deceased. And it's great to hear from the perspectives of the grandmas and grandpas who have such a wealth of life experience, and the wisdom that can only come from years!
Happy mylotting everyone! what's your favourite aspect of mylot (and don't tell me it's the money!)?

It is amazing, isn't it? And the best part is that everyone (well, almost everyone, haha) actually gets along.
Why couldn't it be that way all over the world? Everyone has problems, sorrows, jobs, families, bills, rent, flowers, grass, kids, etc.....we're all not that much different. And you are so very right about Hatley, I couldn't believe that was her age, and she's such a sweet lady.
I like myLot because of all the people, the fun, the bring-me-up when I'm down atmosphere. Sometimes I come on here early in the morning, only to find myself laughing my head off at something someone said. It's a nice way to start the day.

The diversity here is a primary reason I write here. I have done a lot of traveling in my past and this is a place wehre I can meet people from those same countries and a lot more. All ages, races, religions, etc. We can help each other solve problems; let others know what is going on in our world; and sometimes we can teach others or learn things from them. Plus, we get a few pennies for doing it.

That is why I am here. Earning money is only a byproduct of this exercise. I hope one day I will meet some nice people in this forum as I did in another forum where I am a member since almost 3 years. Slow though I was I did make one virtual friend into a real one and she comes all the way from the UK to spend a couple of days with me. Apart from this the whole interaction is so refreshing - I learn a little and teach a bit too!

That is true, lots of people from around the world. Of all ages, cultures, and opinions, you really cannot being to scratch the surface of what MyLot is. There are just so many people and it is intriguing to hear from them all, no matter who they are. I doubt I would ever encounter anyone quite like many of the people here. It is always nice to have variety and that is what MyLot offers when you break it down. That is what it is all about.

When I first came in here it was all about the money, and in some wys it sitll is, but as time has gone on, it has become much more than that, as I love to share my views with othes and see what they have to say on the same topics. I have learned so much from others, what do do and what not to do. I have also made lots of friends, ones that I may never see outside of here, but I am so grateful for all of them. If it weren't for mylot, I would have never found the sites I am doing that gives me a little money here and there. It isn't much, but over time, it will all add up, and that is the main thing. I hope that I can meet some from here one day, but should I never ever get to, it has been a thrill to to interact with them here. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I very much agree! It's wonderful having many different viewpoints to think about. It's terrific getting input from some of our older mylotters since they tend to be more sage about many things! I also love reading comments and discussions from people all over the world! Reading what they think and why is fascinating to me. My lot is fun for so many reasons and one never knows what topic will be the most funny or interesting next! Be Well!

My favorite aspect of myLot is the money - hee hee - just kidding! It's nice "meeting" different people here and discussion all the things that we come up with to discuss! It's super cool seeing familiar profile pics (like yours) pop up here and there . . . and you begin to know certain "friends" on myLot. Hatley is great and I haven't had the pleasure of "meeting" Grandpa Bob yet. I don't have any grandparent experiences, so it is a pleasure hearing from "that" generation (I love my friends in "real life" who are grandparent aged too). I just love coming here everyday when I can to chat with everyone here . . . honestly it's better conversation than some of my real life conversations I have with the outside world - hee hee.

Hi squaretile!
I've been with Mylot for almost a week now. So far, what I love about it is that people get to voice out their personal opinion. Mylot is a venue for people to comment about a certain topic or subject and to start their own topic. What I love most about Mylot is the fact that other people are reading what you are writing and giving their own comments.

Yes it's a lot of fun chatting with many people and sharing opinions with person you do not usually talk to. Or even imagined exchanging info's with. The discussion board is my favorite spot since I'm new here. I get to see everyone's opinion.

Hi squaretile,
Your discussion instantly caught my attention. Yes, this is a great place to share ideas with others who have similar interests.
Six days ago, I logged on to mylot, curious about earning extra at home, but I ended up participating and responding to some discussions. What a great way to "earn" extra ideas and knowledge which one can't get from gossiping with people. Not only can we express our views on things, but we get the bonus of acquiring information from other mylotters.
In a busy world where one can rarely find people to talk to or people who are willing to listen to what you have to say, this is a great place to do it. You see, I consider myself a "student for life" even if I've been out of school for quite a while. To me, a student is someone who wants to educate himself/herself. Graduation is not the end of education. One can learn anywhere and everywhere if one chooses to: observing nature and people; listening and reading about other people's ideas; reading books; watching tv; going to the movies; surfing and googling; and other countless ways. Being with mylot, gives us a chance to express ourselves and get positive respondes, thereby expanding our scope of knowledge and circle of cyber friends.
I'd love to have you as cyberfriend. I'm curious about Hatley and 'Grandpa' Bob, too.
Have a beautiful day squaretile.

I too love to log into myLot and connect with people from all parts of the globe. I am not always able to comment on some of the posts but I like to read them and all the responses. I agree with you that there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained here on myLot and I would say that most people log in to take part in the discussions and never give a second thought to the money.

In a busy world where one can rarely find people who are willing to listen, this is a perfect place to do it. I find mylotters to be broadminded and non-judgemental. They are open to new ideas.

I'd love to have you as a cyber friend. You seem to be very intelligent with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. I am curious about Hatley and 'Grandpa' Bob, too.
Have a beautiful day, squaretile.
