what are your secret skills?

everybody has lots of skills and talents - speaking another language, being able to ride (bicycle, horse or motorbike), being a great writer, talented at cartoons, able to knit, can mend anything, knowing a lot of obscure facts about something etc etc... so what are some of yours? are there any you are particularly proud of? and on the other hand do you have any skills you can't really see a use for?

Speak German, can write a little, ride a bike, know a lot of obscure facts about a lot of things, especially Figure Skating, Musicals, Star Trek, the English Monarchy (yeah I was into that stuff as a teenager)... Not enough to qualify to go on Jeopardy though. :-( Skills I can't see a use for (except for getting chuckles maybe) - bad puns, silly poems, one liners...

Buttons - Filling in for me in myLot
I have a secret talent as an animal trainer. Just recently I taught my cat, Buttons, how to play in myLot. Well, to be honest, I didn't really teach her. She must have picked it up herself my watching me, and I made it look like fun. Just last night I was 'walking Tukay' and when I got back...there she was, typing away to a discussion. My other talent, that I don't really see must of a need for, is to be able to sit for long periods of time doing practically nothing. I guess that would be good if I wanted to be a politician.

I talk a lot and I can somehow say that's my skill I'm really not that creative on my own but when I lay my eyes on a piece or material(usually in theater)for a play, an act or a skit I can somehow say I can make it more lovely than it was before but when ask to direct something on my own I struggle. I have a very good imagination and sometimes I want to write about but because of fear I can't write it well even if I can imagine it perfectly.

i think you might be a very good writer if you have an imagination like that. i think you should try not to worry about something being written well and just get your ideas down. you can always tidy up the writing later (and judging by how you write in english i don't think you'd have too many problems with the nuts and bolts of writing anyway)

Hi Jb, secretly I am a master manipulator. It's sad to have to keep it a secret (which I guess its not anymore since I wasn't as clever as Thea and Holly and ask you if it was a secret why write it). But since I can still keep my secret talent in the non-cyber world, I guess I can confess it here. The very fact that manipulation is a secret art for those that do it well otherwise people would be onto the manipulator and thus render the skill useless.

No, no Jb, I am not here to confuse you (although you must have me confused with those that try to annoy blue bunnies) I'm trying to "enlighten" you...but maybe you are right, if one becomes confused at the thought of being manipulated, then perhaps I am much better at my skill then I first proclaimed! So you are correct, Jb, that is my entire wicked intention! By the way, Good Morning.

I would say writing and driving/riding and also good at being a mediator. I don't like to take sides and prefer to hear both stories from both parties in a real life situation. Oh yeah, I can also dabble at cooking and making others feel loved; like family members, friends and etc. Before I sound too self-conceited, I also have lots of friends outside myLot. But friends here; I do treasure. On the other hand, I have one or two closes and dearest to my heart and they know me best.

Hi jb, I have some tlents, just like everyone else in the world. I have thought about it many times and I have reached the conclusion that I can only be proud for those talents that I have worked to enhance. The others belong to my genes or my upbringing. I have a high IQ, but it is not my "fault".My forefathers gave me that. I also belong to an intellectual class in my country so that is not my merit either. Because of that I know more than one language, have read a lot, I write and I was a professor at the University. But I do have one talent I´m proud of: I have the ability to discover the best people ever and to make friends with them. I suppose I must have a talent to be able to have such friends in spite of my being a loud voiced old witch. On the other hand I have a lot of flaws. Some of them I have conquered, some are waiting there. It takes a lot of time and will to change a little those obscure parts of oneself and it´s so hard that one leaves it for tomorrow all the time. Happy posting!

Skills that I've perfected for which I see no great use: worring myself sick and making rotten relationship choices. Skills I'm more proud of: things in the way of art...writing, sketching, music, painting, decorating one thing and another. Hidden talent: I can eat almost anything in the world with a fork, as opposed with a spoon.

Actually they are gum wrapper chains made by tearing the wrappers in half and folding them and interlocking the pieces. It makes a herringbone sort of chain. And, they are pretty much useless. Just a thing to keep your hands busy when you are otherwise bored silly. Like in school... I did them a lot in junior high. LOL I guess they could be considered decorative. In a way. If you stretch a point!

Secret skills : I can play guitar, bass, and piano with better than average ability. Definately good enough for strumming round a bonfire or a woodland wiccan moondance. I can sing if playing, and like to write lyrics as well. Part time Bard after hours. Useless skills : I have an uncanny ability to stack things, a tall stack of books while carrying them upright, or random stones found on a mountainside...I am really good at placing things in balance that you would never expect. I have had art instillations in my home that normally require nails etc, and they held in place several years without falling. I also am good at knowing when to catch things I have stacked. Lol, Blake4d

I play guitar and I do it quite well. I also sing with my voice and it's ok. This is another skill that I like.
