I like both of them. It depends on the contents instead of the form.
Just as that I like Avatar and Friends.

well for me ! movies are a better deal than TV series as it gets over in one sitting.its comprehensive and has powerful impact if the presentation is real good one.

Emm, it's kinda hard to choose one, coz no matter it's a TV show or a movie, if it's wonderful, that's great.
For me, I think I watch movies much more often than TV series. Just as what you've mentioned, sometimes we do not have much time to follow TV series, but we can have an hour or two to finish watching a movie.
