Have you ever been driving and some how mad someone else mad? I live near Chicago Illinois and there seems to be a very large amount of road rage going on. There are a LOT of very offensive drivers around that are in such a hurry they seem to totally disregard safe driving. Lots of people are in a big rush to get where they are going. It is dangerous. You almost never know what someone will do. Let's be careful out there and try to be curtious towards other people on the road. What is your story about Road Rage ??

I get so mad at my 10 year old for pointing at other cars. Usually he is just pointing out the ones he thinks are cool, but we try to tell him that they don't know why he is pointing. And you just never know what someone will do. I think with all the stress now, peoples road rage is flaring up. The most I do, is say a few choice words under my breath. I don't even like to blow the horn, you may make them madder and who knows what will happen.

Yeah....people seem to be pretty stressed out. It's best to just drive along and let them go.You just never know when someone will snap.... Take care and thanks for the response.

I do not get road rage, I do not even get in a real hurry. I am not the person who feels like they have to pass you, dodge you, block you, or avoid you. On the other hand, I SEE people out there all the time that scare me to pieces. I have had an incident or two that was scary to me, neither of them recent. I lived in a very large city when first married, the first time--this is about thirty five years ago. Hubby had duty, I had a friend visiting in town in a distant part of the county. The route even involved a cloverleaf exchange to and from different highways. On my way home at about 2:00 am I tried two or three times to get to the highway I needed and each time, people would deliberately block me from getting on the highway. Another time I was driving from my home to OKC on the toll road. I decided to pass, in the left lane, another driver, who was driving erratically. I wanted away from them. Each time I tried to pass, he tried to sideswipe me or drive me off the left hand side of the road. I got his tags and reported him at the toll booth. My husband gets a bit aggressive when he drives. My sister in law, and my brother, keep up a running commentary about how others drive. I just relax and let them drive.

I wish there were more drivers out there that would be like you! I used to get upset while driving....it does lead to other problems and makes me look like an idiot. (my wife helped point that out to me) Now, I just try to take it easy...It's better that way. Thanks for your response. :-)

I have a similar discussion in the California category. Like a couple of the posters, I'm in L.A. where it is getting seriously dangerous. In a second attempt to perform a store audit, I got ready to leave but the news was still on. It showed a man leading the police on a high-speed chase that ended near LAX, the exact road I had to travel. The final result was him crashing inside the tunnel that leads to the airport. I wouldn't be able to perform the audit in a timely manner so I had to skip that day altogether to avoid getting caught in traffic. Sounds silly but all this took place in an area that tends to get congested and everyone is in a rush.
