"Early to bed and early to rise makes a man health, wealthy and wise. Always early and never late, that's the way to be great."
I not only believe these words but also follow them in true sense. I always get up early in the morning, at least before sunrise and go for exercises regularly. It charges me up for the whole day. My four year old son also follows me. Any day if I get late, he use to wake me up. Getting up early allows me to start my day positively and peacefully.
What about you? When do you get up in the morning?

Yes I do. Many people have often called me an "early bird." Whenever I'm sleeping round someone's house, I always seem to be the last to drop off to sleep yet the first to wake up
My body finds it nigh on impossible to go beyond 7am without waking up and doing something.

I agree, I actually feel uncomfortable if I stay in bed too long. I have body aches and headaches as well. I am recovering from a medical condition, so on some days I do sleep a little later, but most often I am up by 7 and even earlier if it is summer and the sun is up.

I get up at 7am. Although to some this is sleeping in and to others it's really early, I am not a morning person. I have been getting up at this time for quite awhile due to my job and it seems like I can never get used to it. I hate mornings and I love staying up late. I am a night owl. No matter how many hours of sleep I get, or how early I go to bed, I don't like getting up in the morning. I wish I could wake up earlier and get more done but no matter how hard I try, my body is just not up for it. I know I could try to condition myself so I might have to start doing that. It is tough tho.

You hate mornings. Strange. You may like to stay up late in the night and for that you may get up late in the morning. But why should you hate mornings?
Can you share the reasons?

I tend to wake up at 5am no matter what time I go to bed so I like to sleep early in the evening. Latest 10pm but my ideal time would be 9pm but it is not always possible.
I like waking early and working out in the morning, going to the gym after a full day of work or activities can be tiring I have more energy in the morning.

I'm a big lazy girl so i always wake up late except if i have something important to do in the day. I know it's not good to always wake up late, i think i must do like you but i don't have your motivation :x. Moreover, i notice that more i wake up late, more i was tired, not good at all, i must change that, i will change that! :)

Please change your habit for your own benefit. You realize you needs. Then what does stop you? You have to increase your will power and determination. You should have a burning desire to do something. Nothing is impossible.
God Speed and Good Luck!

i also believe in the same thing. When I was student, i used to get up very early i.e. 4 AM and study. It really helps as i used to fresh. Secondly, I remember reading somewhere during Sunrise, lot of positive energy is emitted , thats why we feel fresh and healthy. And yeah Early to sleep , early to rise... make man healthy and wise :)

hi monojdhole oh yes my dad used to say that over and over and know what I grew up to be not a morning person at all. I have to get up at six oclock here at Gold Crest because we eat at 7 but its not what I would normally do. When I was in my own apartment I got up around eight or nine in the morning, ate some oatmeal, dined at noon and was a happy camper. I am fairly healthy and wise but never wealthy but thats okay. To me one should get up according to your body, some of us are night owls, some early birds and our metabolisms are different.

I think you are correct. You can be considered as an exception. But what your dad used to say is an eternal truth. I have no doubt in that.

Those are beautiful words and have much wisdom behind them! Though for me it has always been a struggle as I hate going to bed and hate getting up. But I am determined to live by that wise adage. So I'll daily work on going to bed at a reasonable time and get up early enough to feel good.

I get up around 5 am. This is my time to exercise for 30 minutes. Then I will fix a cup of tea and watch the morning news. I start to get ready for work around 6 am, then start fighting with the kids at 6:30. I usually go to bed between 10 to 11 pm. Depending on if I have a class that night, or homework that needs to be done.

Hello Monojdhole,
I am early person whether for a job or avtivities etc. I usually by 6:00am during the work week and on the weekend 8:00am becasue it was ingrained as child. My parents would not let us sleep past 8:00am when chores had to be done. With nine children there were rules and chores and what ever free time we had we disappered in the back yard or down by the pond for a while or on our bikes riding on the roads etc.. I am usually in bed by 9:00pm or 10:00pm ifI do not work my second job.
Thanks and Have agreat day

Yes, I always get up early in the morning. I have a lot of work to do during the day. So the earlier I get a start on it the better. That way, I have more time to relax during the day. So, I say about about 6 and get woken up, before getting started shortly after then. Of course, I go to bed a bit earlier than most at night, so that is part of the reason why I can get up so early.

I hate to get up so early in the morning, but my neighbor always make a big noise in every early morning, then I rather get up than stay in bed.

i am one of those in a position where when i m working,i get up religiously evrymorning but when i am on a break ,it can be months at a time when i m not working,i sleep in all the time..till late noon, just read somewhere that its actually not healthy also just sitting around doing nothing, muscles need to be used ,so i totally agree that it is very healthy habit to inculcate getting up early every morning and exercising ..mental discipline, and one may just live long enough to prosper!

I have always been an early riser. I enjoy "my time". Everyone is asleep, hot coffee and cool crisp morning air sitting on my porch. I wouldn't trade those moments for anything. I also am my most productive in the early morning hours. I manage to accomplish quite a bit of my online work day. Early morning= clear mind and rested eyes:)

Nice quote it reminds me of my mom who always telling me that words of wisdom once i'm lazy to get up, I used to get up at 7AM everyday unless i will have appointment earlier than that, I feel much comfortable rising up early morning rather than when the sun shines on your face ..
