I know some would are feeling lonely sometimes without any reason. Like sadness just hits us... It happens mostly at night when we are about to sleep or when alone...
Do you ever felt this sudden sadness? How do you deal with it? Is crying help you somehow in releasing pain? We all have ways of coping or dealing.
Personally, I find myself always crying quietly when this thing hits me... Then think about my life and where I am heading... Most of the time I find my life dull and empty... I believe the reason why I am experiencing it because of the fact that I am missing something in my life... like a dream that is hard to achieve. Like my aspirations in life are not happening and roads are making it impossible to attain it anymore...
I just cry and talk to God. Like pray and then eventually fall to sleep. When I woke up-- sadness is no longer there... But it comes back every now and then .
So how about you? what are your ways of coping? Do you cry and listen to music or watch some movie?

What do you think you are missing?

its nice to hear from you again 1hopefulman! Oh that is really a tough question! What am I missing? I have few frustrations. I believe in God though I know my relationsip with Him is not that tight. Sometimes I am becoming shaky, especially when in bad situations... Wish I will have that strong faith.

I am speechless 1hopefulman. That is a good story of faith. Yeah, somehow, I can realate on it, for sometimes I think and wish I can talk to God face to face, hear his voice so that I would know exactly what to do... I also think that the people before are more luckier for they can just go and come to Him whenever they need him... It's not that I don't believe what I am not seeing... it is more like I just want to hear more clearly and sometimes would like to lean my head on His shoulder especially when I am feeling so down...
Thank you for a very encouraging story 1hopefulman! God bless you always!

I think that sadness hits all of us on occasion at one time or another. But it does seem that it is worse at nights. I don't know if it is because we have slowed down mentally and physically and we are just crashing from the day or whatever. My mom always told me that the devil works at night! Lol! It may very well be true. That is when a lot of crimes take place. The world just seems to be a brighter place to live during the day. I am by nature a night owl so it is usually pretty late when I go to bed. So I am usually pretty tired. But I try to cope with it also through prayer. I remember asking God to help me sleep one night. Well, I did and I realized that I went to sleep before I finished my prayer! I guess God knew what I needed before I asked him! Lol!

devil works at night! your mom has a good point... I agree with you tinalb! God knows us inside- out... He knows even the strands of our hair... I also believe that God will give us what we want and need in due time. If He doesn't, may be it is really not for us and he has a better plan for us... Sometimes it is just hard to understand... And yes, that sudden sadness that we all feel just come and go... Thank you for responding tinalb! Hope you enjoy every minute in here!

The best way is to find good comedy and watch it as long as possible.
I feel sad very often. I lost both of my parents during last 28 months.
I found that watching comedies, walking and attending public affairs is helping me a lot.

hi polachicago! First I am sorry to hear about what happened to your parents... I agree with you, watching good and funny movie would somehow bring joy on us... It is like diverting our emotions into more likely feeling by watching light and comedy films. Looking back to our happy moments could also kill that sad emotions... Thank you for responding!

hey yohaneng! You are a newbie here!! Welcome! So how do you see mylot?
Thinking and remembering all the good things that happened to us will somhow kill the sadness that we feel for a moment. Well that is a good way of coping with stress... On the contrary, listening to sad songs would somehow heighten our sadness... Thanks for sharing yohaneng!!

I agree sadness seems to come out of nowhere and when it hits you are under it's control, I cry sometimes, sometimes i try yoga breathing it is a really good way to relax and lessen your stress level, I also pray, eat..especially chocolate which contains something that releases a sense of false happiness, sometimes physical personal activity helps..when all else fails for me I try a drink or a valium!

I am hearing good views about yoga, though I haven't try doing it yet. They say it a good way to release tension and stress... It helps somehow... Actually, my way of dealing with it varies from time to time... sometimes I just lie down and cry silently, sometimes I eat like I am angry with the food . Drinking valium is a no no for me because I have a three year old son...I don't want, if ever he wokes up a night, to be sleeping deeply...
