Do you make something and sell at a craft fair or town festival? I am not talented enough to hand make something, but I do take other items to fairs. Usually the entry fee is low and easy to recoupe your money. With things being tough out there, this might be a way that you may not have thought of to make some extra cash.

Good question - yes, actually I have. I used to design and make teddy bears and sell them at local craft fairs. The average stand fee was 60 Euros a day. It wasn't always easy to recoup expenses, but I found that the trick was to make small, easily affordable bears rather than bigger ones at higher prices which people would think twice about paying, especially in times of economic recession. You can also make larger quantities of smaller things, and the outlay isn't as big. I would definitely recommend it, because you get to chat with lots of interesting people. I have even received commissions on a couple of occasions.
Unfortunately I had to give it up for time reasons, but hopefully I can start again one of these days. I must say that it was a very welcome and fun addition to my regular income.

They can be a lot of fun. Like I told my boys you are seeing new places, finding new things. Hopefully you will be able to get back to doing them. They seem to cost about the same here, between $50 to $75.00. I try to avoid the more costly ones, it is harder to get your money back on those.
