How often do you go out for a date night with your hubby?

I have been trying to get out for a few weeks now. I was hoping to double date because I can't even remember the last time that happened. Our last date night without any kids was back in September for my husband's birthday. We somehow skipped our Anniversary in November(I was working a lot and visited my Grandma in another state).
I would love to have a set time like the last weekend of the month we shoot for a date night. I don't think twice a year is cutting it though.

I know the feeling. I think it's good to set something and try your best to keep it. That way you will definitely make it more than twice a year.

I think we are going to try to have more dates just as husband and wife and then have a couple dates where we go out with friends. Sometimes it is harder to go out with friends because we are both trying to coordinate days and babysitters.

me and my wife never go for double dates. we find less time to date so if we find time we wanted us to be just us. we want to have time for the two of us only. we havent got the time to go out as couples when my wife gave birth until when our son was two years old. he is four now and we can let my other siblings baby sit him and we can have time to go out. the only problem now is if the budget allows. har har har. hope you can get a night out with your husband.

Yes, going out always seems to cost money. We try to swap babysitting with someone else so that childcare is not another added cost of going out.

Gosh right now with the economy the way it is I would LOVE to have a date night but life is in the way. We have substituted mock date nights though at home. Sitting down to watch a movie together, playing board games etc.
Now, I also have date nights with my kids. The last one was with my 9 yr old. We went to see Where the wild things are. We had so much fun!
So date nights for everyone are important and good for the soul!
