I sleep with my dog. I love my dog and I can't let it sleep elsewhere. Dogs maybe animals but if you them like a part of your family, they can be like people too. Observe how they act and they are like little children. Share us what you think of this discussion and share us something about your dog.

hi mas,i love our dog, since she was still a baby,we always clean her and feed her inside the house and she had this pillow of her own which she rumbles everytime she felt giggles. funny sometimes to watch her for doing that.but we never sleep with her. yeah,we loved her and hugged her sometimes, but not to the extent that we have to sleep with her.my family doesn't have that habit ever since. and i don't think it's a good idea.but i don't blame if you do sleep with your dogs,it's just our own freedom to do what we wanted to do.

Our dog we have now is still a puppy so he sleeps in his crate. Our old dog would sleep on our bed when we weren't home. Before I met my husband, my old dog would sleep on my bed until I kicked her off - she was a huge bed hog!

My dogs and my cat are sleeping with me on my bed. I have to change my bedding once every 5 days. They are clean, but they are shedding. My older dog likes to be under the cover during the winter. My cat is stepping on me and she likes to sleep on my back...

No,our dogs slept outside. We had four dogs and if we have to make them sleep with us,where are we going to sleep then. When our dogs were still puppies, they slept with my kids. But now that they've grown ups...i let them sleep outside. Don't worry, our dogs are well provided with sleeping things.

Hello Masmasika, My husband and I have our own bedrooms.....to sleep. I have a 6 yrs old black labrador named Billy. He sleeps with my husband, on top of the blankets and on HIS own blanket. He never wakes up or gets up in the middle of the night. Last summer, he kept getting up and going in the kitchen to sleep. My husband thought something was wrong with Billy. I noticed he would get up and drink a lot of water. We have a/c but not in my husband's bedroom (now you know why I have my own as I have a/c in MY bedroom) So I changed Billy's blanket to one thats not warm. He hasnt got up since. He was too hot on the old fleece blanket. Billy is our baby as we dont have kids. He has his own couch, blankets all over the place for him to lie on. I have lots and lots of washing every week. My vet told me that Im too clean and that dogs like to lay in their own smell but I think Billy is used to it by now, at least he doesnt seem to care. When I lay a clean blanket for him over his couch, he'll go smell it and then he licks a corner off....so his smell is on it. He's never home alone, I wont leave him outdoors if we cant be with him, he's spoiled rotten and he's such a good dog. We take him everywhere we go and if we cant take him, we wont go. He's family and some people who dont have pets, cant understand that.

I don't have a dog anymore but I have cats and yes she sleeps in the bed with me.They are like children it is a funny thing. When I did have my dog a long time ago he was a doberman a large one and he would lay in the bed with his head on the pillow and the cover over him and he would put his leg around me the front one as of if he was holding me and I didn't know it until I woke up. L.O.L. He was so protective over me. I don't have him any more that was when I was younger.

Dear Masmasika, Our dog named tuffy also sleeps with us in our bed. We live in a duplex house and sometimes when my husband is working he prefers to sleep downstairs and he being very much attached with tuffy, calls him to come downstairs and sleep with him, but tuffy is used to only our bedroom bed and never sleeps anywhere else. Some part of night he is in my blanket and then he shifts to my husband's quilt. He snugs deep into the blanket and sleeps lengthwise with his body touching ours. Sometimes I wish I could get full nights' sleep as his coming in and going out of my blanket wakes me every time, but I know, even I would not be able to sleep without him.

This discussion is something close in my heart. My dog sleep in my bed too. Like you, I also think that dog is one of our family member... and as I observed with my dogs, the more you get closer to them...the more they become sweeter to you... sometimes they act as little children.

Our dog sleeps with us as well... Usually its on hubby's side of the bed. I usually get surrounded by 1 or 2 of our cats. One that loves to snuggle next to my leg, while the other chooses to sometimes act at a foot warmer. While it can make the bed cramped at times I wouldn't have it any other way.

Yes, I let me dog to sleep with me on my bed. It is interesting that sometimes my dog will sleep like human, that's she sleeps "upside down" instead of lying. However, she sometimes kick me while I am sleeping which is not good :p

Yes my dogs take turns sleeping with me.. I have 4.. but sometimes there may be 2 at a time sleeping with me as well as a cat or 2. I have no need for electric blankets or heating pads.. My animals keep me quite warm. :-) and quite protected!

My dog does not sleep on my bed. He sleeps downstairs because he likes the cooler air. My dog would be welcome to sleep on my bed though. He is family. He does sleep on the couch a lot. My dog is like a child, he eats human food, we talk to him, we play with him, and even sleep with him.

My dog has a corner in my bedroom where there is less light and direct air from the air conditioner. That is where she usually sleeps during the day, if not, in the living room. At night, she settles on her spot in the bedroom and sneaks up on the bed with me part of the time. She doesn't stay on the bed really, I guess that makes her feel too warm because she already has long and thick hair.

Both my dogs crawl into bed with me, and each one takes turns sleeping directly next to me, while the other one sleeps at the foot of the bed. And when I'm not in my bed, if they're tired, they'll crawl right on it and snooze away. I must admit, it gets rather cramped with two big dogs pressing me up against the wall. Every morning I'm stiff. But at the same time, when they don't sleep in my bed with me, it just feels weird because I've gotten quite used to them sleeping my bed with me. But there are just sometimes when they decide not to, or when I'm having an uncomfortable night and make them get off.

My dog sleeps on my bed part of the time and with my mother part of the time. I like it when I'm laying on my side and he stretches out along my back with his back against my back and the back of his head is in my neck.
