Living with your children....

I am 52yrs old and moved in with my son and his family in March of 2008. They talked me into coming because they said that they wanted me closer and when I got here, my daughter in law was having some health issues and it seemed that I was needed. So I agreed to go home, sell everything and relocate from Ohio to Georgia. I try not to step on my daughter-in-laws toes, so I watch the children (8 and 10yrs) whenever they need me to and basically do the dirty jobs: dishes, trash, scrubbing carpets and floors, ect. I know my son is glad that I am here but his wife seems to appreciate nothing I do, so lately I just feel used and depressed. Does anyone else live with children or parents? What are some of the challenges you have faced and overcome? I could really use some advice on this situation! Thanks for your input...
