My son dreamed that he lost three of his teeth

This morning my youngest son told us he dreamed about losing three of his teeth. I got so worried. We have one superstition here in the Philippines that when you dream about losing your tooth/teeth, there will be death in the family. I know it's just a superstition, but it happened to me many times in the past, and whenever I dreamed about the same thing (teeth falling out), a close relative would eventually die. It maybe coincidental but it scares me. Fellow Filipinos, what can you say about this and what can you advise me?

hi i am from Philippines too. yes we have that superstitious belief. the olds said it depends upon what teeth did you lost. its really scary coz this also happened to us. they say, when you dream of that, do not tell anyone. bite your teeth into a wood. there are many beliefs that still affect us even this age. hope nothing will happen to your family. just pray hard to BRO.

my grandma would always say bite into any hard branches or cement posts or any hard foundation around the house to break the spell

When you say eventually die, just how much time did it take for this to happen?

Wow. My dreams are the opposite. I always dream that someone who is not around (living somewhere else) comes home and within 6 months to a year they come back.

I am also aware of the superstitious belief. It is indeed scary because I also dreamed of losing my teeth. But again, all what is important is our belief that only God knows what is best for us and what will happen next. Just continue praying and believe in Him totally.

Hi Amy. I kept on convincing myself not to be bothered by it. You are right, only God knows the right time for anyone to go. I am just so anxious though, because as I have said I've had recurring experiences. Thanks for your response.

Just relax.
I am always superstitious. When those things come to me,I always tell myself that what will come will come.Nervous can not solve the problem ,just forget it.And there is some difference from people to people. To some one it maybe works, but to others things maybe different.Just tell yourself, good luck is always around you.

Generally in dreams, teeth fallign out means the dreamer is going through a change or transition in life..How old is your son?

hello wookiee,
It's all superstition, nothing real..it becomes real becoz you believed in it.
It's all coincidence...no relations at all, just happen in time.
If you keep believing,it does follow what you believed in.
Stop believing anything which you know is all superstition and make believed things.
Trust in the Lord, pray and asks help and guidance and all the negative thoughts and elements will surely disappear.
And,don't pass any superstitious belief to your kid/s,don't make them believe in make believe things(ghosts etc)
I never let my kids believe in those things...and i am happy about it.
Keep your faith in God above all things my friend and i am sure you will find more peace and serenity.
Have a good day always

Yeah I think you are right. I should stop thinking about it. I didn't tell my son about this superstition, anyway. Thanks for the advice.

hi wookiee
yes, its just superstition.
But my father believes in this, because he dreamed many times about teeth/tooth falling, and there is always a close relative or friend would eventually die.
Just pray to God that nothing bad will happen, call his name and ask him to make you feel ok, and he'll surely comfort you. Prayer is powerful above all things.

yah. sometimes its happened whenever it is a dream sometimes it could happen to a reallife. always take care of your child and also your self. do not think of that very much , be positive. and wait for a couple of days to see the result of your childs dreamed.

Hi...Dont worry about the dream..its just superstition...In India when we get such dreams,it means that you will get some good news regarding your success...when we lose our teeth new teeth will grow so that is related to new start in our life...just chill even my thought is superstition but have faith in GOD...:-)

i think that this thing could not happened.although i have dream same like this.it seems that it is very real and make me worry, but it would not happen in my life.sometimes we often worry about something.so it would appear around the dream.but we often make a lots of dreams, how many times the dreams would be changed into the reality?the answer that it is impossible for us to happen.i think that you should keep good feeling to face life and make our life better.
