I have been taking pictures of everything for many years. I have decided to pursue a career in photography. It is a huge passion of mine. Only thing, I really don't know where or how to start. I am on a very limited budget, so I will need to start small, but I hope to have a website up and running within a short time. Does anyone have any advice or guidance in this matter? It would be very appreciated ; )

You could start out freelance, keep the best pictures in your portfolio for later, and see what you can sell to a local news paper or just to people you see watching the same things you capture on film.
My sister started taking freelance pictures at rock concerts, and one of the promoters seen how good the pictures were,he hired her full time to take the publicity shots, she is now a concert promoter herself.
I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the advice! I have been taking pics for years and I love it so much, so I got to thinking, why not make a career out of it? I have been reading up a lot on it, and all the information is pretty overwhelming! Right now, I don't have a fancy expensive camera, or the funds to take college courses, but I would like to start somewhere; ) I will take your suggestion in consideration; )
