My hubby and I are getting iPhones through his work and I'm interested to see how easy (or not easy) it is to mylot from my phone. Is there anyone out there that uses this technology? I think maybe it will take longer, but I would just do it when I was killing time. Let me know if this is something you do, or if you tried it and it didn't work.

I've tried it once, but because the screen is too small and too difficult to type then I still using computer as my homepage. If I have to then I would want to use it too.

I can see how it would be difficult to see and navigate the page. It seems that most people prefer just to use their computers. Thanks for the response!

Hello there! Well, I signed up here using my phone and up to now, I use it for posting. I prefer nokia rather than iPhone because I can type using the keypad which makes me comfortable in typing unlike on touch screen interface. iPhone is good for most applications but I think, it's hard to use for posting in here (unless there is a compatible keyboard accessory for that). Sony ericsson can also do well because of its smooth scrolling. Since cell phones are light, you can bring it anywhere you go so it is ideal to be used for surfing the internet as well as for posting in here. If you want to post using cell phone but you want to type using all your fingers, you can use the wireless keyboard which uses bluetooth connection (I think only nokia has this accessory), the keys are bit smaller than the normal computer keyboard, it can be folded into half for easier storage. Have a nice day!

I'm not sure if there is a compatible keyboard or not. I can see that it would take much longer via phone than on my laptop. I'm considering getting the new iPad when it comes out, maybe that would work well. I know I would mylot much more if I had access to it outside of my house. Maybe iphone can come up with a MyLot application to make it more user friendly.

iPhone apps actually work a lot like mylot on your lap or desktop. Mobile pages are a little different but still easy to access and navigate on an iPhone. I don't have an iPhone but I do mylot mobile sometimes. It takes longer because the screen is a lot smaller so there is a lot of scrolling, and also if the network is slow, it takes awhile to load or update things. I facebook mobile much more often than I mylot lol. As far as iPhone functionality in general, I prefer a hard keyboard because I have longer nails, and touch screen phones don't work without actual contact from your fingers. I'm very slow texting from a touch screen phone as a result. Writing a typical response or creating a discussion would take me much longer than it does from my computer.

It sounds like as a whole, people think it's too much work and takes too long to mylot on their phone. I'm thinking about getting the iPad when it comes out and maybe that will be the happy medium. Thanks for responding!

No, I have never tried posting from my phone, as it would be way to hard to do so, as my phone doesn't work all that well for posting anyway. I would rather do it on my computer. I think it all depends on the cellphone too, as not all cellphones can do the dame thing as far as the intenet is concerned. I know mine can't since it doesn't have java nor does it have a flash player so I am limited. I will be upgrading sometime this year though. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I think I would rather do it with my computer as well. It sounds like no one has had a really good experience trying to use their phones. Maybe in a few years it will be better.

I use a blackberry and I'd rather use it on blackberry messenger rather than post on mylot. Unless your playing 3g... I don't think edge or wireless would be fast enough to maintain your needs for the site. Though you can do it for fun, I do not recommend that.

I have to agree with you. I think the internet on the phones is just not fast enough and the screens are too small to see the page. Thanks for the response!

I tried it once. I think I got to compose one response in 15 minutes. Never tried it again. It gets frustrating when you type with those tiny keys and you can't see the whole screen.

I would be frustrated if it took 15 minutes to write a response. I don't think I will hold my breath to be able to mylot on my mobile. Maybe when technology gets a little more advances. Thanks for the response!
