She's right because others are corrupt but she isn't. The way she talks is what honest and mad she was. Telling the truth and don't respect your honor will be a crazy thing but that's the truth why should you lose conscience. All of us knows and will soon know what lies behind, all we need to do is follow the right kind of wrong.

The only thing that you can count in this life is that people will do their best for their personal interest and for the people they love. What about society? That's nonsense, I might say..How do you expect someone would give a care to someone they don't know? Someone like Jesus would..But that's a rare case!

Honestly, I really don't like Miriam Santiago because she's not sensitive with what she always say in the senate. Well, I know that most of her speech are true and can wake-up the mind of the people. However, instead of keep on saying it in words, why not she start the doings so that other might follow her. She is good in words but poor in actions. Before she said something against the people in the government, she must think of her self first if she's doing the right thing. Another thing is she is "balingbing". Not a trusted person. When she knows that this person will be in danger she will change to another person who she can count on or use just to be able to stay in her position. What a fool.. To her point "magsarili na lang tayo!", well I guess she's right since the government are not doing their job. Maybe, it is good if other country will come here and help us. Why should we hesitate to grab the opportunity of other country help, if it is good for us and we can benefit it? It's not about being selfish but it is just being practical. We all know that our economy is very poor and we need help. If we keep on fighting with what they called "pride" then many young once will die because of hunger. Think about it. Think of the people we've seen in the street, our environment and society.

I think Prof. Miriam Santiago is right. Magsarili na lang tayo kung wala rin naman tayong magagawang maganda sa bayan at sa pangkalahatan - In the first place we don't need to incriminate the whole country especially if we just want to do a fiasco! Actually, I like Miriam Santiago! She has a lot of sense - very intelligent indeed, and very entertaining also! Hehe! I strongly believe if given a chance she would be a good president. Oh! How sad Ramos succeed in manipulating the 1992 presidential elections! Happy MyLotting!

Maybe, Miriam Santiago was right! I don't know if the senator was effective in Philippine government. The senator was arguing every day. Election day is coming who will be The Credible President to vote.Every senator must do their stuff on how to improve everyday living of Filipino. Don't say words that you don't mean it.How is your values you learn since childhood.Miriam Santiago are educated person, a role model to follow so she must be careful in what she are saying.

I can also sense that she is disappointed with the senate wasting their time just to punish Senator Villar over the C5 controversy. I think what the Senator is expressing is just right. It has been several sessions already wasted and it seems there is no real resolution on the issue because some senators are just not cooperative anymore. Many are busy campaigning already and not doing their duties as senator already. I really do not think that the Senator is insane. That is the reason why she was voted again to win a seat in the senate. But I do think she lacks EQ and more of IQ. I think she just need to balance them out to be a good leader because extreme of those would mean she would have hard time dealing with different kinds of people.

I sometimes wish she'd become President of the Philippines, though many people think she is too outspoken and somewhat crazy to become one. Still, she is intelligent, has the guts to say whatever she feels like saying, and scolds the Senators and other politicians like she's their mother .

Yes when i watch miriam she says 'magsarili nalang tayo' oh i cannot understand if what they mean.

Hello taki, I know she has a lot to say and she has always been tackless and a fighter with co-senators most specially when things aren't going right with the debates. she's smart but some said she's almost crazy with her intelligence because they are times that she makes a point to all Senators. But i didn't like that statement, as if she's giving up on the FIlIPINO people. she's actually my favorite Senator. i am sure she said that out of anger. i wish she would do her job for us and not for those people in the Senate.

I have not heard of it but Miriam always has a way of saying things. What would senate be without her . She can say nasty things but she really sends the message across. Well, she seems a bit crazy and out of line sometimes but you can't really deny that she got the brains. That's the problem with having too many leaders in the group, they tend to do what each thought is right and don't want to follow anyone. I think most of them have forgotten about the saying that "United we stand, divided we fall". That's really our main problem. If even our senators can't get their act together as a group, how much more of the entire nation who look up to them.

i have watched this too last night. its like we are watching children fighting and insulting each other. they are working ON THEIR OWN and ON THEIR INTEREST ALONE. every one likes to make POGI POINTS. particularly those running for 2010 elections. its sad to see our government going into circus like this. Senator Santiago is right by saying they barely have enough time to resolve the C5 road extension scandal. how can the economy move high when our leaders do not work together as one? its so disappointing watching them on TV. senator Santiago sometimes have her point however it became big deal because it is coming from her. that's it. her words are powerful and hurtful at the same time.

I admire her Mrs or Ms. Santiago for she has a lively temperament. Even though she's only one individual her impact is multiplied by the media towards every home in the country that has tv. She is pretty much like my grandaunt aged 86. She cooks my food and still scold me despite her age. Lucky are women for they have explosive energy and the life expectancy are even higher than boys. I don't know anymore whos stronger whether males or females.
