Men are better listeners, who agrees?

somehow i agree to this..im a girl..:)...i always talk with my guy friends about problems that i can't talk about with girls because sometimes when i tell one of my friends some of my secret she spilled it out just a day or two...there are things that i can't talk with girls or vice versa..it's just in balance too i guess...i prefer to be a listener most of the times...i let them spill it out on me and then i'll give them an advice that will make them feel comfortable..:D...sometimes men are not that good listeners...i think it was 2 days ago when i was talking about some things to my guy friend he suddenly changed the topic..:(..i guess he wasn't interested in what i was saying..but i really fell bad about that..:(

ya thts absolutely true men are far better listners then women.women have less hearing or we can say bearing tendency.m not taunting out women but its a true fact and have been proven scientificly. an survey of 40 men and women from different regions proved that. this survey was conducted in italy where 20 womwn and 20 men were kept on a survey and were checked out. and the results wre quite astonishing as men had 27% more capacity to listen then women.and i completely agree wid this result as i have been in an relationship myself and have practically experienced it .so anyone disagreeing it please respond.

Mostly, men are good listeners when compared to women. But, it works differently for me and my husband. I am a good listener and he always appreciate me for that. I also talk, but I like to be a listener most of the time. My husband likes to talk a lot and he likes it when I listen to him. Mostly women tend to talk a lot and like it when they get audience.

Hhhmmm. I'm a woman and I'm the type who tends to talk a lot. So, you're probably right on that part. BUT. haha! It doesn't justify that "men are better listeners". =P When you, men, say something to us, women, don't you get amazed that we remember almost every detail of what you guys say, after a week or a month? or even years? We pay attention and we do it better than men. haha. I think. But then again, I'd go for "balance" and "fairness". It depends on the kind of people, really. =)

Well, it's a fact that women tend to talk more compared to men because we are more expressive of what we think and feel. So the men have to listen. But I agree with the response above, that does not really mean "better listeners". For if you listen, you must do it intently and put in your mind what the person says, not just let it pass through the other ear and totally forget what the conversation was about. But yeah, balance would be good.
