what is your favorite growing up years and why

i miss the early 80's i remember walking the streets of our little town with my friends and one of them had a boom box carried on their shoulders. listenting to Ozzy or Def Lepard. we watched kids breakdance in the park on picnic tables, listened to music and talked about whatever. now adays you are lucky to walk a block without getting mugged or shot at. i wouldnt mind going back to them.
