How do you see humanity after 100 years?
Are you optimistic or pessimistic about what will keep living keep your grandchildren?
It will be better or worse? Will take our descendants times better or worse?
Will they be happy or they will be more difficult? How realistically do you see your children children's lives?
You think about it often or never?

Hi icesmile,
The way society is evolving gives me the chills. It is like all the good in people is desappearing, and nature is responding to our degenerating values. The earth will try to cleanse it's self from us and at the same time we will be trying to protect our selves from the more violent people. Most will head for the less populated areas, so that when the earth finishes it's evolution process, the surviving humans will be so dispersed and isolated from one another that they'll be forced to start from scratch, the same way as the prehistoric civilizations did. There is where I see our descendants 100 years from now.

I am scared for the world. The political people are killing it day by day. After 2000, it seems like things began going downhill. There is so much problem now. Power is manipulated, people dying in wars, changing of climate, earthquakes, virus epidemics, threat of nuclear wars, imbalanced weather and so much more. It all seems so crazy. People are getting ferocious and greedy day by day. So I don't see anything good happening in the future. Maybe after 100 years our kids will be living in caves, you'll never know!

I agree that the political world has gone corrupt, there seem to be so many conspiracies and hidden agenda these days that you just don't want to believe. And the attitude of the people is changing too, people just aren't all that friendly anymore. It used to be back in the day you could walk by someone on the street, say hi, they would say hi and ask how you are doing. Nowadays you have to be afraid that that person might shoot you or something. All in all I believe it is going to take a wakeup call for the world to change. What exactly that will be, I have no idea, but probably won't be good.

Where do you live? I would love to know which part of United States changed. I remember in Virginia people would say hi to strangers passing by. In California I have not seen it.
Most of what is happening seems to be in favor of a few powerful people. They want something and therefore they are giving a tough time to the public.

Hi, Ice!
Everyone probably thinks of it at least now and then. I think the future will resemble the past, in that it will continue to run the gamut of progress and regression, good and bad advances in technology, and problematic politics. It's always been that way, and I think it always will be...

dear ice,
am in this world for half a century now and i miss the time when things were so simple and people were not in a hurry.
but we're in the technology age where everything happens at the press of a button (as we say it) so we might as well make use of it.
future for our children... the humanity.
i am not sure.
but i see high rise buildings everywhere.. skycrapers.. bubble houses underwater, concrete everywhere... flying cars? oh boy! no trees, no green grasses.. food all processed and looking like jellos. oh gosh!
but remember, something is wrong with my eyes.
