If Mylot Offers an Admin Job..

I'm not going to accept the job, because I could not handle it by myself. There may be others who can, and I leave to them.

Hi LetranKnight25! Hundreds of members have been so helpful and all of the help I've received makes me love my job even more!

Being a full time job I wold think twice right now since I am fulltime working too so I could not do the job 24/7. But if the price is right then I might accept the job provided I work at home and the pay is regular. I think administering a lot of post is a very time consuming task to do and it might just eat my 24 hours just doing admin work for mylot. But, I consider that as a very challenging work indeed.

i would also not accept the job if offered to me. i am a very busy person and mylot is not the primary task that i would do. i love being here, and i love what i already earned. i don't think i can do the job of being one of the admin here. as lamb said, there is someone who fits in for that job, but not me.

hi letranknight,some days back i have got daily one message from the administration,totally i have got 5 messages from the administration,then i have opened it and responded according to my view,but till now i have not received any response from miss alice,i may not be one of the representative to mylot,because i could not understand some discussions,so my language is poor,have a nice day

Hello, Letran. No, I couldn't do it. I'm too honest, and I'd tell the whingers and moaners to go somewhere else and complaing. Admin need to be much more diplomatic. Alice is doing a great job, because she manages to combine the admin stuff with having fun with us mere mortals on here. She's a hard act to follow, and I just know I couldn't do it.

No, I don't think I would take it. I have a hard enough time keeping up with discussions as it is. Why add this on top of it? But then again, if the money was good, I might just be tempted to. After all, it'd be a great opportunity to work from home while raking in the dough. LOL But it'd have to be a really good amount in order for me to consider such a position as I have no doubt it takes a lot to be an admin assistant of such a site as this one. Happy mylotting!

I think I will refuse since i am very busy these days. I know there is a right person that can truly handle the job, but that is not me. I don't know how to do a job on assisting the admin. I let the other people decide, but me the answer is no. I can't take the responsibility now. Seriously

Under normal circumstances the job would be ideal but these days I lack the time and the patience! I barely manage to get on here and respond to a few posts let alone having to deal with enquiries and the like! It would need a full time person to assist Alice or whoever her team is! On the other hand it would be nice to get in there and sort things now.

Yes, I will, with open arms if the terms are right. LOL. REally, why not? But of course I should be clear about what sort of work am I supposed to do and what are the working hours. Is it necessary for one to have some technical knowledge in order to fit the position? If so, then I am not going to qualify. He..he... I just want to be a sort of mediator, keeping everyone happy, satisfied, and united. I believe that Mylot members need to strengthen their bond instead of destroy each other. That's all.

It would be great if I am offered to be a part of Admin...but I think I can't handle all the stuff the Admin does. You have to be online almost 24/7, check everything, behave properly, follow every single rule and most importantly, the Admin should know the way around the site. If I can do all of this, then why not? But unfortunately, I can't XDD..

i lose my patience 99.8% when im almost done with mylotting each day. forgot being admin...im havin chills by thinking the condition of mylot admin lol

i think it would be an interesting job to be the admin of mylot or any big website for that matter. i just dont have a lot of time at them moment to do that.

How can I help? I have some ideas. I could help test changes. I could write them up for the programmers and do test cases and actually perform the tests. It's what I do anyway (but mainframe, not web).

I wouldn't mind at all. but i prefer to have this job as part-time and not full. we shouldn't completely take over alice shoes since she has direct contact with the admin and the department and we are just people online. but i like your proposal, it's just that i have a job already.

hello Letran, No...i won't accept if by chance being offered to me. I don't have much time like Alice had. And more of the guts to deal with some unscrupulous ideas/suggestions and all. Let the other(veterans)do the task,they knew more than i.

Hello Letranknight, Im fairly new here and Ive learned of Alice only from what other mylotters have said about "her". If she's always online, never sleeps as she says, well then she's some very sophisticated piece of software LOL. Im not saying that I know who Alice is, but she could be man or woman or software. It would be nice to think Alice is actually a person but maybe not just one person as she said before. Yes Id love to do such a job. Modding a site is fun and you need to be fair, open minded and impartial to any beliefs or ideas. If not, you become a dictator and nobody likes this type of control. Oh and you also need a sense of humor. Where would we all be without humor!! So at the risk of repeating myself, YES Id take such a job with open arms.
