Do you like to eat during journey by a bus?

Do you ever eat while traveling by a bus. I don't like it. Because I've noticed that people have the habit of observing the activity of others, especially while someone is eating something. In these cases I feel very uneasy. I usually wait for the journey-break which is a part of the bus journey. At first, I go to the toilet be fresh and then be ready for eating something.

I love to eat on a bus. I buy food for the journey even if it's only 1 hour. I really don't need the food. I certainly don't need chips or other junk food, but I just can't help myself. I also eat on train trips. They have someone who comes down the isles selling junk food sandwiches and drinks. I once made the mistake to eat on the BART train in San Francisco. I was getting really weird looks. I didn't know it was forbidden.

Hey Cat Lady,
They've done a very good thing by forbidding the eating on trains. Because it is seen in my country Bangladesh that people eating on buses and trains litter things (packets of chips and candies etc.) making a dirty environment.
Have a nice day.

Well, San Francisco doesn't allow eating or drinking on any public transportation. I found it annoying because I didn't want to spend the time to sit and eat. I was on vacation. I thought I could use the hour on the subway train to eat lunch. I only had a week in San Francisco and wanted to maximize every second. If I sat and ate, I would scarf it down as fast as possible and not enjoy my meal.

I usually choose night ride. I don't travel much in bus compared to train. I also do not like munching food during travel by bus. The reason is you tend to drink more water. More often eating during journey upsets stomach. We end up eating more junk foods. I take a train if the travel distance is more than 6 hrs.

Thank you very much for replying to my discussion. Yes, you're right that if we tend to eat during journey we'll have to drink more water which will excite our desire for urinating that is troublesome for us. Moreover, eating junk foods isn't healthful for us. We should avoid them as much as possible.
Have a nice day.

Hi faridmadeabillion, I like to take junk food while riding on a long journey express bus. This is one of the ways to kill the boredom. I always prepare lots of delicious junk food in my bag before the long riding on the bus. But I don't take any food if taking a short distance bus.
When getting older I dislike to take food while travelling. I kill the time by watching the scene outside the window or reading story books. I play the games available in my cellphone sometimes. I enjoy to eat comfortably and relaxingly sitting in front of the dinner table when the bus driver parks the public transport beside the outlet and let the passengers to take beverages as well as foods available there. It's great that we still have extra time to do some shopping there
Happy posting

Hey friend,
Same with me. I prefer to kill time watching outside scenes or reading books/magazines or playing games on my cellphone. We do get some journey-breaks during long trips on the way and can eat different types of food and beverage at roadside restaurants to our heart's content. The passengers can also shop from adjacent markets. None feels any trouble.
Have a sweet journey.

Hey Sir,
In fact, I usually avoid eating in the bus while running. And off course, there must be a break for going to the toilet or taking snacks. Then why bother about eating during journey.
Have a great day.
