Is akon his real name or did he kept his name for fame or it is very stylish. I just wanted to know why big leaders of famous people around the globe change their original name. It has becoming a trend these days.If any one knows akon's real name please respond me quickly.

Hiya boomina, It seems Akons real name is Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Knacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam. Akon is a great short name to remember I think as well as his music. Very nice short name that sticks in peoples minds.
