well if you see their are many people in mylot who receive so many comment on their duiscuusions....you can see those in the top discussions of the day list and you feel for sure that what if i had been there one day having so many comments and then you start thinking abourt creating discussions. now my question is that is this your real aim when you start a discussion??just to get many comments going or you just want to discuss aout something you feel like irrespective of haow many comments it get... or you only start a comment when you feel that you need some advice

I Think There is No Reason, or Chosen Theme of Discussion To Collect As Many As Possible Comments From It... I Saw When One Girl Asked Really Serious Questions, and Was Posted Only Few Comments, But For Discussion About e.g." Do You Like myLot" Comments are Many,Really Many...

I don,t really care if i get a lot of responses or not. As long as i can keep everybody busy and they keep me busy, i am happy. But you never know, maybe one day, you will start a discussion and then bam, top responses. Have a nice day.

My goal when I start a discussion is to get advice on stuff or ideas. I don't try to go for a topic that will generate a lot of responses, because you never know what will get responses. One day a topic might get tons of discussions and then a week later the same topic will hardly get any. I just like being able to come to the mylot community for ideas or advice on things when I need it. I may not always get tons of responses, in fact I usually don't, but I usually get good ones that help me out.

My only objectives when starting a discussion is that I think they will be useful or interesting. The number of responses I get doesn't come into it, although that is a good marker for learning what sorts of discussions will get more responses than others and if that is your goal, to get a lot of responses, then tryin different discussions is a good way of learning what works.

I try to get everyone to share something, and I hope that I'll get a lot of comments as a result. I really get the most comments when I ask other people to share something, instead of asking for advice or trying to start a discussion on an idea. For instance, one of the first really successful discussions I started was about how many books people had read in 2009. Try to pick something that everyone might have two cents to share on.

I haven't started many discussions. But, the ones that I have started are the result of whats going on in my life at the moment. Or the result of something that I have experienced online. When I start discussions about online subjects, I hope I am helping others to get more from being online. When I start discussions about life in general, it is to share and get opinions.

The aim of any discussion should be sharing. Sharing thoughts, news, idea, or something else. Sometimes it can be a simple question too. No one can expect that he or she will receive many responses. But if you have a lot of friends on MyLot and you reply to all of their discussions then there is every chance that all of them will reply to your discussions! So one will have a lot of responses. And you can also try to have interaction with the responders and that will help you. Both in gaining a higher rating and earnings. Happy Mylotting!

I have many different reasons to start a discussion. Sometimes it's because I want to share an amusing situation or I'd like some advice or I was curious about what others thought on a given topic or because I saw or read something interesting. It's a fun way to get different perspectives from folks of all different ages, sexes, races and cultures. It's fascinating to me how different I may be because I am an American born bred and proud from others clear across our wonderful planet. My life experiences can be so very different from theirs but we can both learn from each other. Interesting topic, what motivated you to write this topic? Be Well!!

hello abhi, Actually, when i am just a newbie here in mylot,i never knew about those top discussion. When i start a topic,it is becoz i feel to start one. Not even to ask some advice, but,to know other mylotters opinion, and,i like reading other mylotters comment/s. Later then,i also wished my topic is one of the top lists. How about you abhi?...what's your aim when you started a topic?

One of my aims when I start a discussion is to see how many people are going to respond to the discussion that I've started. However, this isn't my main aim in starting a discussion. For me, it is somewhat about making people think. I don't particularly like to start discussions that one would view as funny. I instead try to start discussions that will make someone sit back in their chair for a minute and really think about the answer to the question.

for me i do make a discussion to have another idea on what topic i wanted to discuss about. so if there is a lot give comment on my discussion or topic it will help for me to have a better solution on my topic so that's why sometimes i create a discussion in this site.

I start a discussion when I have something new to share with others or I need some advice from others.I am happy to share what happened in my life with mylotters. I don't worry about how many responses I will receive, but I will view all responses from my lotters. Happy mylotting!

It is very good to receive many comments in your discussions but what is important is the thought of information you delivered and the thought of information you received. Even a single response is enough if it is worth compared to many responses but actually have no deep sense about the topic or issue. Posting here in this site should not be prioritized for money making purpose but rather should be lead by the desire of information sharing and exchanging ideas and points of views in a nice ways in different topics that being discussed.

my main aim when i start a discussion is to see how my discussion can affect other people. i mean i want to test if my topics are interesting or not based from the number of responses. i also want to read interesting responses to some of my interesting questions in mylot. I enjoy reading sensible responses and from those, I am able to learn new perspective in life :)

I don't start all that many discussions, but when I do start them, I hope that others will shre with me their dieas on th etopic at hand. I never really set out to et a lot of reaponses, as for one thing I have never been that lucky and for another, I just want to be able to express my opinions and when I di get responses, I amreally thankful even if it isn't a lot of responses. I am not out to win a popularity contest in here so any nresponses I do get, makes me happy that some were interested in responding to them anyway. There are some discussions that get well over 100 responses, and I am lucky if I get 20. It is so hard to come up woth a good topic, one that others will be interested in responding to. That is one of the reasons I don't start all that many, as I find it easier to just respond to other discussions, than start my own. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I only start a discussion when I want to talk about something that really interests me and I want to hear other people's opinion about it. (I'm actually hoping more people discover my Real Housewives topic and chat about this guilty little pleasure...LOL) Anyways I prefer to respond I think because it stirs creativity and writing skills responding to topics that I previously wasn't really thinking aobut. Forces your creative juices.
