The new must have gizmo from Apple the iPad

January 27, 2010 12:30pm CST
So Apple have just launched their latest must have gadget, their tablet PC known as the iPad and is basically a product which is a sort of blend of smartphone and laptop, but not replacing either of them. According to early reports you will be able to use it to watch movies, store photos and browse the internet, although I am sure it is capable of much more. The thing is do we really need another gadget. If you've already got a smartphone and a laptop then is there any reason to get an iPad?

Apple iPad? I'm disappointed! I was hoping they'd bring out a television seeing as their computer monitors are top-notch. Sony and Panasonic would be quaking in their boots if that had been the case. Well, my friend, I hardly use my iPod even though I've stored loads of songs off CDs onto it (my own) because I was so annoyed when they brought a video version out soon after I bought it. I boycott all their products now...but if someone were to give me an iMac I wouldn't say no lol. It is annoying this constant bombardment of new technology. I've figured out why HDTVs are coming down in price...it's to make way for the launch of 3D telly...just in time for the World Cup I shouldn't wonder. I wish they'd slow down, I can't keep up with it all lol.

It certainly never seems to slow down and I sometimes wonder if in fact the manufacturers already have the future technology ready for the next 10 years ahead but schedule it's release so that they can make more money on each of their latest gizmo before they launch the next great thing.

Sure enough, a 3DTV footy event will be shown for the first time on Sky...shown in 9 pubs throughout the country, apparently. You have to wear special specs to watch it...but what happens to people like me who wear specs anyway? They haven't thought of us!

wi-fi but no 3G network..... I am not sure if I need it (if I could afford to buy new toy)... It is probably good for people who travel a lot. Light and handy. Other than this, I have to play with it to know if I like it or not....
