To be honest, I am realy a little cowardly. One of my friends recommend the show to me. When I saw beginning of season 1, expesially one hand come out from the tombstone, I gave up..Do you think it is a little horrific? My friend tell my just the season 1 is a little ghastful, other seasons are much better. Really?

Yes! Do watch! You will definitely not regret it. Sam and Dean are funny. Even when they deal with "horrific" monsters in every episode they almost always manage to defeat them. The series is just awesome! I love it!!! Can't wait for the next episode to be available for viewing here!

I absolutely love this show. Season one really isn't that bad, gore wise. Season three was actually fairly gory for a TV show, but never as bad as the gore on cable shows. The humor is also what appeals to me. The characters of Sam and Dean always find a way to bring laughter into scary or awkward situations. I highly recommend seeing season one, and then season two. If you enjoy those, I say go for season three, and so on. Currently, the CW is airing Supernatural's fifth season. I caught up on the show by renting the DVDs of the show from Netflix. Also, my sister bought me the third season of Supernatural for Christmas one year.

I looked up about what you said about Jensen getting engaged with the actress who last played Ruby. I got so interested. But I found out that Genevive Cortese, the one who last played Ruby, was really engaged but not with Jensen, instead she is engaged with Jared Padalecki.^^

I'm not a big horror show fan either i don't normally enjoy getting scared but even though this show is a little scary at times i enjoy it. I'm on the 3rd disc of the 1st season, which i got at the library and so far i found it to be a really well written show and I'm a tough judge so even if its a little bit creepy I'm still going to watch it because most TV writing is just too bad to endure.

I don't think it's too horrific but it does play things fast as loose as far as the Bible is concerned. (For example, weren't there only 7 seals that had to be broken before the Apocalypse?) Having gone to a Methodist college, I can see whereas lot of Christians would be upset with the show but I don't think the so is meant to be taken too seriously.

?In my oponion, the first season is a little horrific ( for some coward people). But for the second and third season, i really think this series is a comedy..:)
I like these two seasons best. I really want the relaxed atmosphere between Sam and Dean to return to the second season, but i know it's my daydreaming. The fighting between Sam and Dean seems to be inevitable. :(

Nope, this series is not horrific, its not scary at all.. although I love the series but I only watched the first two seasons because I got bored already and the story's build up is getting slow and boring for me that is why I stopped watching supernatural after the second season.

i don't think it's really scary, because it's not a full horror movie. the focus of the story is not the ghosts, there's so much more. like dean and sam relationship, or dean and john, or sam and john. there's so much meaningful angles to the story, once you understand that, you won't care about the ghosts anymore.
i was like you too, when my mom ask me to watch supernatural with me, i was really freaked out at the first time that i ran to my bedroom XD but then with time i grew on to love supernatural, and it's now one of my favorite tv series :)
