Some people think women pass through a phase of depression at the time of their period. Is it true ? I also had the same view , before I got the valuable responses regarding my discussion on why women are treated with contempt during their period. I now think that due to their seclusion during period agaist their stroger than normal libido make them depressed .This therefore is extraganeous factor of depression . And this should not be common for all women as some of them are not secluded .What is your opinion?

Are you sure you get depressed on daily basis ? Regular spat of depression is not good . You should take precautionary measures. Start going out with your friends and involve in some type of activities which interest you . Mylot will defintely help you in this respect . But over involvement in such a home confining task may be detrimental .Some touch with the nature is a must for you . But do you recognise certain event in your life to be the origin of your depression? If yes ,instead of avoiding it you should analyse it meditatively . If you succeed , the thought will leave you for ever and you will come round .

PMS - can cause differnt feelings such as being sad & down. I have felt that way sometimes - but only for a day - nothing crazy.

I don't think that all women have a problem with depression during thier period. I know I have a problem with depression, and when it is close to my period it is worse. I have a very hard time with it sometimes. I know that there is a disorder or whatever call PMDD I think it is pre menstral dysfunction disorder. It is severe depression with your period. There is treatment for it.
