What Toys Did You Want When You were a Kid? (Game) Just wondering?

I have been looking at all the different toys they have for kids now. Most of them were not around when I was little. I know there are people on here of all ages. I was wondering what toys were popular when you were little. How many can we think of? Can we guess how old someone is by what toy they wanted when they were little?

back when I was little, I wanted cabbage patch dolls and an easy bake oven..I got the oven and my brothers broke it, but when I found out about video games, I forgot all about the doll and got a gameboy instead..when I was younger, the hottest toys were all basically video games Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, things like that..

My dayghters had those things. They never cared much for the video games. They played them sometimes but preferred to read.

I had a tiny tears doll and I don't remember what happened to it. Who would have believe that someday I would be wishing for it again. I guess they don't make them anymore.

I know what you mean. I had a Chatty Cathy doll and lots of Barbies. I wish I still had them. They are worth a lot of money now. We moved when I was about 9 years old and my mom decided I was to old for them and left them at the house we moved from. I begged her to go back and get them but she wouldn't. Now I tell her how much money they are worth today and remind her it is all her fault that I don't still have them.

I so wanted a pedal car ... I would have pedalled everywhere in my little car had I been allowed one .. I would have been over the moon with happiness ...
But I was a little girl .. and little girls didn't get pedal cars when I was little ... so I got a pram instead ... sigh ... I've always wanted the things that society says you shouldn't have

That is to bad. Now they make cars for little girls. Society has changed a lot. My husband is already checking out the battery powered cars for our grand daughter.

I am glad you finally got your Cabbage Patch Doll. I bought them for my daughters when they were little. They had several. My Grand Daughter has one now.
