Tattoos... Good or bad?

The question is; are tattoos still taboo or have they become acceptable? I personally think that they are great in as long as they have a meaning to the person. What do you think?

tribal tattoos - tribal tattoos
I don't love tattoos also because i don't like to mark my skin forever. But in general i think everyone has to do what he wants. In addition i want to make a difference, because one tattoo can also be funny, but when a person has all the body covered with them, oh God, I really don't like it.
