Many of us must clean house and enjoy a clean house; however, we do not enjoy the actual cleaning. I am in the process of preparing for a home study and am finding it very difficult to motivate myself to clean. I have a rough timeframe for when it will be but nothing definite. This means I can continue to procrastinate.
How do you motivate yourself to clean when you are tired and really don't feel like doing it?

I hate house cleaning, but I do my cleaning every Sunday. My husband helps me out which I am grateful for. My husband and I put music on and sing while we clean. My husband and I are in the process of thinking about what home improvements must be done and how we can afford to do them. I am hoping to start painting soon (we have the paint, now we need to find the time). I always set up a schedule and live by it.

I have really learned that I have to be motivated. Me it freaks me out to not have my house clean. There are days that it's not and I am OK with it since we are extremely busy and on the go all the time. However if I let it get too far or more than a couple of loads of laundry in our laundry room I will start to freak out and that is my motivation. My kids too I guess since I don't like them being on a difty floor or around messes. If my husband is gone late or in the field for the Army that too will motivate me. Putting on some good music will help too. It's different things for different people.
