Well..I think so yes..women have a tendency to spend more then the maximum limit while men somehow control their desires..
Do you think i am right?
Or do you have a different answer to it..
P.S. I t has nothing to do with gender discrimination..

I think that women spend more compared to men. I think this way because women are fond of shopping. But, men spend more for daily living. Women spend more for things which are not necessry for living. I think that women has a normal tendancy to spend a lot that makes her fond of shopping. My husband spends more than me, but I buy a lot of unnecessry stuff, just for the sake of the interest in shopping.

Sorry but I don't think so. I have male friends who spend much more than women do. I guess it depends on the person. If you have the money to spend why not.Men mostly spend their money on cars and girls while women spend it for beautification of self. So I guess both spend more they just differ in the classification of the things they spend to.

that's funny. you know ,in some places ,things may be different.
women spend so much in various aspects, e.g clothes, jewelries, cosmetology ..
but when compared with the cars and the houses which spent by men, that is a such small number..

hi akhilgupta, yes women spend more than men, because women usually responsible for the budgeting at home. electric bills, water bills, food , tuition fees for the children on schooling, telephone bills, other neccessities. like me im a plain housewife, my husband give me his monthly salary and im responsible for it....household expenses... i dont have any idea that some men are spending more than women? or maybe if that men have another family aside from his own family, there he is spending more than women!!! get me?

I find the question unanswerable because individual spending is relative. The question may not have been posed to be gender discriminatory but it is stereotypical.
Even categorizing what men and women spend money on cannot be generalized - for example, stereotypically women are thought to be big spenders on jewelry and clothing. Just speaking personally, I don't really wear jewelry and I am a thrift spender on clothing because I tend to do my own modifications on them.
Also, WHAT men and women buy also is very subjective....On the one hand I am labeled as being very frugal because I thrift shop, then on the other I have a fairly large mortgage and I trade-in and buy a new car every 4 yrs (when warranty expires). I skimp in some areas so I can splurge in others.
I really have a hard time looking at this post as not being gender comparison related and it really shouldn't be because a persons spending habits have absolutely nothing to do with their gender. Particularily because contrary to stereotypical beliefs, not all women are clothing hounds and not all men electronic junkies (just as an example.

it depends if the woman have simple life or not coz if not then theres a tendency that she will like to buy so many things. while the guys spend more if they are womanizer or other things like drinking and go to bar and etc. so it really depend to their social status and needs.
