Gissi is having his Surgery on Tuesday I have to take him in at 8.20am I am allowed to be there while he goes under, then they will ring me as soon as he comes round so that I can get there to pick him up, due to his Circumstances he will have a Nurse all to himself to tend to him till I get there, they have promised they will look after him very well for me and of course I also will have to sign some Paperwork when I drop him of
I did not expect it that fast but they said they want him in as soon as possible as this is putting to much Stress on his Heart, also the sooner they get to it the better
He is not allowed to wear a Collar any more either he has to have a body Harness as from now as his Throat has to stay clear of Pressure even after the Surgery
Again thank you all for your Thoughts and love in this time
Hugs to you all from Gissi and Me

Hello Angel
I will hold you and the little man in my heart and prayers

God be with you Sweets.
It's so hard to sit and wait when someone you love is in danger.

So sorry to hear that Gissi is not well. I have been reading your other posts but I didn't get a chance to respond to them. I hope the surgery goes well for him and that he will make a full recovery. Will be waiting anxiously for Tuesday to see how it goes. Don't forget to take care of yourself as well as Gissi. xx

Thank you for the update. I have not forgotten to keep you both in my prayers. Gabs you may want to ask the vet if he will need any special care during your move to the new apartment as I know from experience that can be pretty stressful for pets. xxOOxx

I am so glad. I know you would NEVER put Gissi in danger but I just wanted to remind you as if I was in your situation I may be so upset and worried that I could forget.

We'll all be here on pins and needles till this is over, and Gissi comes home. I know you are in everyone's thoughts and prayers and I hope that comforts you to some degree. I'm sure Gissi will love his new harness, I think they're much more comfortable for dogs to wear, especially with him being so tiny. Hang in there gabs, we're all here for you.

Gissi is strong willed and so are you. I know you will be beside yourself until he is back on his feet and up to his normal mischief again, but you are in the thoughts of many, many friends and you will cope just fine. Love and hugs to you both.

Nothing yet Gaby - just MORE tests. Almost everything they've looked at is either "looks brand new" or "looks at least 20 years younger than you". Seems I'm a puzzle!

Sherlock wears a harness. He loves it. And it is even easier to walk him with one. I'm sorry that Gissi has to have surgery, but I know he'll feel so much better when it is done, as will you. It's so hard to see our little guys in pain! I'm still praying for you both.

What are they going to do to him Gabs? Does he have something stuck in his throat?
I will be praying for him on Tuesday when he goes in for his surgery, and of course, my thoughts are always with you my dear friend. I know you will worry, but he will be fine. Please keep us updated. Hugs xoxo

No they think that is flesh in his throat has expanded so they need to go in and check it out and if it has which they are very sure it has they will have to remove it
Also they will do 2 Chest Xrays to as they think his Chest is inflamed and all this is putting pressure on his heart which is making it difficult with Murmur I will certainly keep you updated xxx
Hi Poppy I will be just fine and I keep telling Mum this but she will not listen, I don't like being this quiet it is so boring but every time I get to excited I can't breathe and I am retching and that
I will see you when I am back home Girl Much Love and big Hugs

Hi Gissi, it's me again, Poppy. I know how much you hate being so quiet, but mate - ya just gotta - it's not forever. You will soon be running around again, keeping your mum on her toes and making mischief! Everything will soon be back to normal, just take it easy in the meantime. Your Aussie mate xoxoxo

We will be keeping you and Gissi in our thoughts and prayers. It is good that they will let you be there with him while he is being put under, because that will make it easier and less stressful on him and hopefully you, too. It is also good that they are getting him in so soon, because I know how hard the waiting is, especially while he is in such distress. *HUGS*

omg, i must have missed one of your posts. i didnt know about this. of course i will be praying a lot for his safety in surgery. i know i almost lost it when i just had to take coco in to get fixed. poor little thing was in so much pain the first night i got no sleep at all. i held her close to me and she would sleep a few minutes then wake up and whine at me. i would give her some more pain meds. it was worse then my own hysterectomy gissi will be fine im sure. hes a tough little guy. coco has never worn a collar. its always been a harness. i think thats best for any dog.

Hi gabs, I am so glad you posted this update. I am still behind and I only read and responded to your older posts about Gissi’s illness this morning and I have been thinking about him and wondering how he is doing. I am sure your vet will take very good care of him and that Gissi will come out of this as good as new and if he has to use a harness, no biggie, I heard that they are better than collars anyway!

Hi Paula, he actually likes the Harness and yes it must be a lot more Comfortable as I would not like to be pulled about by my throat
The closer it is getting the more scared I am getting, I just want it over and done with and have my little Baby back with me safe
