I don't know how y'all feel about him but i think he should be put in front of a firing squad to do what he has done to his wife, Elizabeth. I know most people will blame his girfriend & she of course shouldn't have done what she did but she couldn't have had the relationship if edwards hadn't instigated it to start with. YOUR OPINION, PLEASE

Ya know, I was all about john edwards when he was running. I thought he was the best. Then all this came out. At first I thought that he just messed up and his wife knew of it before it hit the press and that it was a personal problem between the two of them. I felt bad that the media latched on to it. And then the drama and lies continue and grow. I lost all respect for him. It's rare that I trust any of the politicians but I really trusted this guy and was really into his campaign.

I don't really know about this John Edwards but I was curious to know what the whole thing about him? I'm glad you explained it to the first respondent. And Ohhhh I understand why you feel that way. I hate philandering husbands but I hate even more those who can do such despite the pitiful condition of the wife. What kind of heart does this John Edwards has? And the girlfriend too! How could they ever engage in such kind of immoral action not even considering Elizabeth's condition. Well dear I hope both of them could be in the firing squad. Yes you are right John Edwards must be the first who instigated but if I were the woman I would not even dare to submit.

I should have explained who he was, sorry about that. I wasn't thinking as usual. Had just heard about it on tv again that he had admitted to being the father & that they had separated. They told later on the news he was staying in their barn, must be some barn. He ought to be sleeping in the dog house because he is a dog. thanks for your response.

In the beginning you think what a good looking angel like face. Wanting to help the poor people. Then he decides to do something so stupid as cheat on his sick wife.I blame both the mistress and John for such disgusting behavior. She actually went to his house and fooled around with John in his house. How does one do such a thing. So disrespectful behavior. I feel so bad for Elizabeth. Here she is sick and he does such a thing to the family. He of course was not thinking with the right head. He makes me so sick. Then having Andrew Young cover for him by paying him off so he makes believe the child is his instead of John's. How stupid is John to think he was going to get away with this. He is getting what he deserves.

He is a good looking man & as my grandaddy use to say if u act as good as u look u will be o.k. It's for sure he didn't. She couldn't have gone to his house if he hadn't let her in , the sorry thing. I'm really not taking up for her but he's to blame 100%. Thanks for responding.

I think its 50/50 on both parties. As a women even if you are having the affair which of course I don't condone- how do you as a women go to the wives house instead of saying "no way will I go there." I will always believe if women stuck together and didn't go after other womens men then there would be no cheating men. Women are just as much to blame for letting this happen has the men and its just so sickening.

Good morning my friend, he is a politician that had an affair on his wife who has stage 4 cancer. He fathered a child w/his girlfriend & has finally admitted to the truth after 2 years of lying about it. He & HIS WIFE HAVE SEPARATED after all this time of putting up w/his sorry ways & his lying. I feel very sorry for his wife elizabeth.

Many men are as uncaring as that Edwards is. But,although I think that if we put all the men who did that kind of thing in front of a fire squad, it would leave just a few men left, I also think that people with such morals should be banned from certain jobs. Now, I think that, as another mylotter said, it takes two to tango, but the responsibility for his wife was his. My youngest daughter´s ex husband left her while pregnant. They had lost a son a couple of years before. He went away with the b**** who had remodeled their home. As my daughter is a lawyer, she had helped her to get her divorce with almost no charge. Good riddance, I said, but still I would have cut and GRIND some of his parts.

I am sorry your daughter was treated like that. It is an awful thing to face. Everybody always wants to blame the other woman & i'm really not taking up for her at all but the man that does that is a weak sorry piece of crap. Some men just have toprove they still have it or whatever but i think if they would run around on their wife they would run around on the next one. U are right there wouldn't be many men left if the ones were shot that mess around. It is a sad situation when a man has a good wife especially one that is as sick as edward's wife is for him to treat her that way. I still say he needs shooting, lol.

Someone having an affair is usually not the point break of a marriage..it's the end result. I am thinking they probably emotionally seperated a long time ago....don't blame the other woman...people have to look first at their relationship....he obviously was not as committed as his wife so now she can find someone who wants to have a real relationship.

I doubt if she'll be out looking for another man w/her health problems. Finding someone is alot easier said than down to start with. Have u looked for a good man lately??? I don't think there is such a thing. Thanks for responding.

I couldn't agree more Jo. He's the lowest of the low. He's scum of the earth. How could anybody do such a thing to his or her spouse, especially dying spouse?! Sure, mistakes happen but impregnating another woman and then denying the deed is even worse! His daughter is going to see that when she grows up and I hope she throws him the towel which is what he deserves! May Elizabeth find peace in the midst of this awful deed.

It certainly takes two to tango! Actually, when the primaries were going on in the USA I just felt that there was something smarmy about him. I felt he used his wife's illness to promote his campaign to be President of the USA. Maybe I'm wrong but that was how I felt. He just appeared false to me. How he could do this to a wife of 32 years that has stage 4 cancer I just don't know. He is a slimy creepy crawly person.

If I were his wife..your better believe I would be blaming him! He's the one that made a vow to his wife..not that other woman. Yes..the woman certainly doesn't have angels flying out of her rear but it is ultimatly up to him. He probably told her all kinds of stories to keep the relationship going.

Hi Jo...when I hear of the things that man has done, I just thank God he never became our president. Anyone who fools around on his dying wife, bys off his friends, denies his own child, illegitimate or not, lies through the hairs on his head the way John Edwards has...shoot, there should be a law against all of it. In my personal opinion, all people like that should be behind bars where they cannot do such harm to others. Karen
