virat kohli was just amazing in the odis in pressure situations and normal situation.
he handles the innings very well.but why he is not selected into team instead of badhrinath or vijay.
i think the selectors K.Sreekant may be the reason , he is taking more players from his state.
what is your openion?

this is the problem of people . Badri and vijay 100 percent deserve their chance . Badri is the most seasoned and expereinced cricketer in domestic cricket . and fort he another question of srikanth is being bias it si for sure he his not as he selects the best team . the worst treatment was given to south zone palyers when vensagar and more were @ helm . well done chika for picking the best team

I know people will talk, that just because Srikant is the chief selector, Badrinath and M.Vijay were selected. First you have to understand that the team is selected for a test match and not for a 50 over one days match. These two players have showed that and proved that they have the capabilities to play the longer version of the game. These two have been playing for quite a long time, Badri has been playing for more than five years, and Vijay has played for more than 3 to 4 years. Whereas Kholi, has just now come after the success of the under 19 team in the world cup about two years ago. So let him prove in the longer version, and then we will see.

I think Badrinath and Murali Vijay got the place because of their performance in domestic cricket. I don't think Krish was biased. But certainly Virat Kohli deserved the place in Indian Cricket team, considering his recent performance in one day international. With his capability to play balanced innings under pressure he is one of the most deserving player.

Well friend this is just 2 test series and this is not the only test series that India plays in this year. Lot more coming and Kohli if he is more talented then Badri or Vijay he will surely get chance. I personally feel all the zone selectors should say yes then only a player get selected. Why do u think Badri or Vijay are less talented than Virat Kohli. I do not think Kohli is more talented than these two lads from South. Most of we Indians straight away attack selectors if they pick a player from their reason, why so? Badrinath is scoring big knocks in domestic cricket and he had done very well in ODI's as well. He is tried for the first time against tough opponent like South Africa and we should tell him best of luck instead of talking about other things. If a player is not talented then he might not stick on international level for long. If Kohli is more skilled player than he will cement his place very soon in Indian team in coming days. And if Badri and Vijay perform well then they too might cement their places but if they play badly then this series might be fatal to them.. Let us enjoy the series instead of talking about selectors selection policy.. All the best to India team..

certainly Kohli deserves to be in the team. But so does Badri and Vijay. Also as you said, Srikkanth is a bit partial to his state team without any doubts. In fact every selector in India has been like this. I do see a good future for Kohli in Test cricket as well(only if test cricket exists in future).

Virat Kohli was a good batsman under pressure in ODIs,but not tests. So,this may be one cause for not selecting him.The selection committee chairman K.srikanth was very interested in selecting the players from his state.Test match means the player will be perfectly fit in stamina because it is of five days. But I think that any one from Badrinath or M.Vijay are selected and Virat Kohli also been selected into the squad is the correct one.there should be no state feeling or other in selecting a test squad that to in INDIA against the second world champion South Africa.

yaa... it is a confusing topic that why virat kohli is not picked into team instead of badrinath or M.Vijay... i think it's depen on the team selectors..that they ignored virat kohli and his performance in last series against srilanka.. it may be happen that the selectors thought that virat kohli is not perfect player for a test cricket.. that's why they ignored virat.. but by my side i prefers virat instead of badrinath or M.Vijay..
