There has been a study done by a group of State University researchers stating that 4.3 percent of call center workers are engaged in an elicit affair within the workplace. the study was done in two different areas of the country. The poll includes 675 individuals of 22 call centers.
The term for the behavior is FUBU. It was said that it is a phenomenon among eight where these workers have higher exposure to than their counterparts in other industries.
It is an alarming research considering that many of these workers are married individuals with their own families. The owner of these businesses must find ways to stop these practice. There must be some control to save the relationships of thee hardworking individuals.

that's alarming, watarikenji. but the real shocker, is suppose, is the result of the study conducted by the health department of the philippines. the study shows that workers in call centers have the highest risk for contacting hiv. perhaps, this is related to what you are saying.

Hi friend
So true.
When we contemplate about it, prosperity brings some unpleasant effects. A strong self control will surely help them.

it is always the cause-and-effect theory at work... some effects are good and beneficial, others are not...

Do you think this is higher then it is in other workplaces? I don't know what the employer can do. Were they engaged in this behavior while on the job? Maybe they just don't have enough to do. Everywhere I worked they was very little privacy even in the restrooms the only private space was on the toilet and that seem are rather uncomfortable area for such activity. The only thing I can think of is that these workers were not busy enough on the job.

Hi there
I think this activities happen in graveyard shifts. Although they are busy, there are breaktime where they can roam around.

Im w0rking in a call center and i must agree on these reports it is so sad that these things are going on...but sadly its true there are times that people outside of our industry scrutinize everyone as if everyone is on this dilemma not knowing that there still people in our workplace who come to work to work not to flirt..

I have not worked with any call center but heard similar things many times from friends and other sources. This is very common, the kind of atmosphere people work in a Call center boosts such kind of activities. I think people being part of this survey are responsible for these affairs. If I wish not to be involved in such scenarios,no one will be forcing me however it is not easy because of the work culture being followed in Call center.
let's live our life with great amount of happiness :)
