he's out of tune when singing without hurting his feelings? I'm not that good in singing, but I can identify when a person is out of tune. Sometimes it's so hard to deal in this kind of situation. Wondering that I might her my friend's feelings. I just make a joke when I hear him sings and he get out of tune. Have you been into this kind of situation?

yes,I have been into this kind of situation too.But some times I thought that I felt uncomfortable just because my friend's singing made me embarrassed. For him,he didn't feel embarrassed at all.So I think"let it be"would be a preferable option. He is not good at singing, but he may love singing a lot.If we tell our friends that they are out of tune when singing, they may tend to not sing as much as before and it's no good for them. Sorry for my poor English.

I think it's okay to tell your friend that sometimes he can't sing the right pitch of the song. Just try to tell it in a very nice way without being embarrass. Then teach him the right tune. Thank you for sharing!

As a good friend, I would probably just smile to myself that he is happy enough and comfortable enough with you to sing. Singing is a symbol of joy. Relax and let your friend be. If you must, sing along with him. He may fall into the right pitch by hearing you. Then again, he may not. He is just happy and enjoying himself. A good example, is myself. I can't dance for squat. However, when I am around people that I care about and I am comfortable with, it doesn't matter. I can relax and be as silly as I want. If I thought they were critical of me, I would clam up and cease to have fun doing something that I thoroughly enjoy. Now if he gets up on Karaoke night to do a solo, you may want to tactfully stop him before he makes a fool of himself.

Hello, I definitely not doing that. sometime, the way you laugh would already hurt him... so, if I were you then I will just him that he needs to work on this a little or show him what will improve his sing.

Hi, dhysanne. This is a very hard situation to be in. All I would say is that I would politely tell my friend to silently turn their voice down. I would say to them, can you please not sing because I don't feel like hearing any sounds. On the other hand, I would be very afraid to tell my friend that he/she can't sing. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I really don't.
