Bad Website, or maybe it got hacked into!!
Yesterday, I went to Gather.com and I picked up some kind of adware/virus thing. It was so weird! I went to that site and clicked on someone's post; when I clicked on it an ad popped up! I closed the ad window (left clicking at the bottom) and I went back to the post that I wanted to read, the link was gone! I was left with a virus, the ads would pop up whenever I was searching for something. I ran my anti-virus and it said zero viruses! I use AVAST! and it's supposed to be one of the best! There are many viruses, that bypass any anti-virus protection. It was weird! My neighbor took care of it for me, but use caution when going to this website!
For those of you that don't know what Gather.com is, it's a website similar to this one. You can comment, post, and upload pictures; in return you get points and redeem them for gift cards and/cash. This is a true bummer, because I was almost to a $25 amazon card! I have been using this site for a couple of years and got paid a few times! In fact; most of their gift cards came in 5 days!!

Wow, that's a scary one! I tend to be really careful when I surf the internet these days because of the potential to catch all these viruses. But still, it would be difficult to avoid it altogether because it's everywhere on the internet. I remember when I was in college, there was this once when the whole college computer system got infected with this virus, and I was so unfortunate to bring that virus back to my personal laptop via my pendrive. I had no choice but to reformat my laptop which made me lose a lot of data.....I swore to hate computer viruses from that day onwards! 
So yeah, need to be really wary when surfing the internet....best to put the pop-up blocker on as well!

I had a pop-up blocker, anti-virus program, and other measures! I even have safe search on my search engine! People are making these viruses/Trojans/adware/malware/spyware and many other nasty thing, more sophisticated! You can have a $1000 anti-virus program and they can bypass it! My anti-virus updates twice a day, to catch new things! There are people that don't have anything better to do, than to ruin other people's lives!
